Warning:
This story is fiction- all names were made up. So if there is anyone out there with these names, I don't know them. If you do not like the idea of male relationships, then please do not read any further.
This is my first story, so please let me know how I'm doing. I have been reading the stories on Nifty for about three years, and decided that I wanted to give it a try as a Nifty writer. I want to thank Joe for all the help he has given me throughout this story. Without his help, I would probably still be on chapter 1. I also want to thank Jere for taking the time to edit the story for me.

A Voice from The Past
Prologue
My name is Anthony James Cooper. I'm twenty-five years old, and I have a twin brother, Andrew Davis Cooper. I go by Tony', and a few people call me AJ. I'm 5' 8" and weigh about 185 pounds. I have off- the- shoulder, long, blond hair, and blues eyes. I keep saying I', but, as you know, I'm describing Andy as well. One more thing, that may be important, is that I'm gay. Andy really hates that I'm gay. He has been telling me that since I came out to the family, at the age of nineteen. Mom and Dad were shocked at first, but they still love me, and have accepted that I have a boyfriend, whom they love as well.
We also have a little sister, fourteen years old, who has totally accepted my lifestyle. She even calls my boyfriend `Uncle Jason'. Yea, I know... what a difference in our ages, but Heather was a pleasant surprise to the family. I can talk with her about anything, and she tells me like it is; I love her dearly. I finished law school at the top of my class, and have a full partnership in my family's law firm.
Andy is a local police officer, and is married to his high school sweetheart, Melinda, with a baby boy two years old- Steven.
I met Jason Williams at the local hang out one Friday night, while my friends were trying to cheer me up from a bad break up with my first boyfriend, Jesse. My friends couldn't get me to dance, so I was sitting at the table by myself, sipping on my drink, totally bored.
"Excuse me," Jason said, finally getting the nerve to walk up to the table, after seeing me sitting there alone.
I looked up, not believing the man standing in front of me. This man was very handsome. He stood about 6', with brown hair, and the greenest eyes you ever wanted to look into. He was GORGEOUS!
"Is anyone using this chair?" No reply. "Hello!" Jason waved his hand in front of me. "Is anyone home?"
"I'm sorry; what did you say?" I finally said getting my wits back.
"I said `is anyone using this chair?" Jason replied, with the best smile I had seen in a while.
"No, please sit down." `What am I doing?' I thought. I still could not take my eyes off of Jason!
"I'm sorry; I just needed this chair to sit at the table with my friends," Jason said. The smile melted my heart! "I could just use it here, though," he said.
"Please, sit!." I'm sorry. "My name is Tony, by the way."
"Hello, Tony." I'm Jason.
Jason shook my hand and held it for a long time; I almost melted away. That was it for me. After that night, we got together, and I have had the best 4 years of my life.
Chapter 1
It is getting late, and here I sit in my office, watching the snow coming down outside. My secretary, Emily, was standing in the doorway, and gently knocked.
"You sure were in a faraway place. You must have been really enjoying it, because you had a big smile on your face. Tony, do you plan on working all night?" Emily said.
"No, Emily, I'm getting ready to get out of here in a few. Why don't you head home, and be careful; it looks bad out there," I said
"Okay, Tony; please don't stay long, and be careful heading home yourself. See you tomorrow." she said.
"Yes, Emily," I replied.
Emily left, and I'm sitting here alone. This is when I get most of my work done, without distraction. It is now going on 10:00 pm; time just got away from me, as it always does. My cell rang, and I instantly knew, - it is my Jason.
"Hello, babe!" I said, without looking at the caller Id
"Tony! When are you leaving? It is going on 10 pm, and the weather is awful outside!" Jason exclaimed
"I'm leaving now! Are you going to wait up for me?"
"Yes, because I won't be able to sleep until I know you are home. Please be careful! It is nasty outside," Jason said.
"I'll be there as soon as I can. Will you please have some coffee waiting for me? I love you!"
"I love you, too, and because I love you, I will have your coffee waiting." Jason said.
I lock the office, and head out. It is sure cold outside, and the snow is coming down! I slipped on the icy parking lot, and almost fell. As I started to leave the lot, I had to slow down, as my car started to slide a little. `This is going to be a long drive home,' I began thinking to myself. I was driving down the road, coming to a sharp curve that I have traveled a thousand times without any trouble, until tonight, that is. I started to slow down, wanting to take it slower then I usually do, with the weather being the way it is. As I went into the curve, my car hit some ice and started to fishtail.
It has been two weeks since that night. I wrecked, and have been in a coma since. I can tell people have been coming to visit me, but I'm not sure who they are. There is this one voice that just breaks my heart each time he comes to visit. He tells me his name is Jason, and that he loves me, and to please not leave him. So now I wonder who this Jason is... Someone is coming in.
"Hello, Tony," Jason said, as he laid down beside me, taking my hand in his. "My love, I can't believe it has been two weeks. I have come in every day, and nothing has changed. I have to come in while Andy is working; he is trying to keep me away. He has never liked us being together, because he has never liked the idea of you being gay."
`I'm gay?' I think to myself.
"What the hell are you doing here?" I hear an angry voice saying, coming into the room.
"Andy!" said Jason, while getting off the bed, standing in front of Andy.
"I told you to stay away from my brother. You are not welcome here; you need to leave, and never come back. I won't to tell you again. The next time you will regret it!" Andy said, with a raised voice.
"Andrew Davis Cooper!" said a woman's voice.
"Mom!" said a surprised Andy.
"Andrew! What do you think you are doing? Hello, Jason; good to see you," Carol said.
"I come to see Tony, and every time I come, here he is in here. I'm tired of him being here," Andy said, looking between Jason and his mom.
"He has a right to be here; he is your brother's boyfriend." Andy cut his mom off.
"Mom, I can't believe you are okay with this," Andy said.
"This, as you call it, is your brother's boyfriend, and you will start behaving, because your brother is going to need us. Now you either start being nice to Jason, or you will be the one not seeing your brother. Is that understood young man?" Carol said.
