Tony Chapter 1
Tony sat in class trying with little success to focus; the lesson was boring, as English always seemed to be. With a silent sigh to himself Tony looked out the window wondering if there was anything worse than English last thing on a Friday. Tony returned his attention to his teacher, she was actually very good at what she did but, Friday afternoons were bad. His teacher was reminding everyone that their assignments were due next week. Tony glared over at the partner that had been randomly selected for him; normally Tony didn't mind being put into groups by the teachers it saved him from trying to find someone willing to work with him. However he had been put with Luke, Luke himself may have been alright however, he and his friends had made Tony's life difficult from the time he had started at this school.
Tony was for the most part overlooked at school; he was short and thin with too long brown hair that flopped all over the place, he was pale and had unremarkable brown eyes. In general he was unremarkable to his peers and ignored by most. Luke saw Tony glare and sneered at him, Tony sighed they were going to have to work together over the weekend to get the oral part of the assignment done, the written was individual thankfully. The bell went; Tony remained in his seat as the others left and looked at Luke waiting for the other boy to come over to him.
Luke stood and walked over to Tony, in truth he had nothing against the guy, he was just an easy target, no friends and small. "This is my address come around Saturday", Tony handed Luke a slip of paper, Luke grunted and put the piece of paper in his bag, "You got a time", Tony shrugged as he packed the last of his things into his bag, "Ten good for you", Tony nodded and headed for the door. Luke shook his head odd guy, Luke picked up a book that Tony had forgotten. He sighed and headed to the door, looking around he expected to see the smaller teen close by and was surprised to see that Tony had vanished. Luke shrugged and headed to his car, thinking he could return the book to Tony the next day.
Tony dumped his bag as he reappeared in his room, David was out of town and Gary had returned to his pack so the big house was empty. Taking off his uniform he headed down to the kitchen in his briefs. As he walked past one of the many mirrors he was pleased with what he saw, Gary had encouraged him to start working out. As a result he had a tight athletic build, he was still short and slim though, he grinned at himself and continued on to the kitchen.
Luke pulled into a space outside his work; he worked in a fast food joint doing a bit of everything as everyone did. The shift was four to ten and promised to be long, however if he wanted fuel and cash he needed to work. His parents were well off but felt that Luke working would give him a greater understanding of the value of things. For the most part it had worked, Luke payed his registration and phone bills. He very rarely asked for money from his parents, he smiled to himself and put the hat on that was part of his uniform; he was a different person at work than he was at school. At school he was known to be a bully, but at work people liked him and thought he was a hard worker.
Tony frowned as he searched his bag again he had lost it but where, David was going to kill him, the book he had lost was a small text on recent sorcerer history. Tony searched his mind trying to remember when he had last had the book, he had, had it out in English. Tony focused his mind and teleported himself to his English class; he went to his desk and saw nothing. "Fuck", Tony cursed softly to himself, there was only one person who could have that book, Tony groaned Luke had to have it.
It was late Luke had just had a shower and only in a pair of cotton boxer shorts he retrieved the book that Tony had left in class. Luke didn't know why he just felt the need to find out more about Tony, it had been Greg that had started picking on Tony, Luke only went along because he and Greg had been friends for years. Luke looked at the book, it wasn't overly large and relatively new looking, however it had no title on the plane cover. Luke opened it and frowned, he tried to read it however it was not in English. He laughed and threw the book back into his bag; he would return it to Tony tomorrow.
Tony was a little surprised when Luke turned up on time, Luke looked at the huge house and wondered why Tony went to their school, his parents must have been loaded. Tony let Luke in and giggled a little as the other Teen looked around in awe. "Your parents must be rolling in it", Tony tensed up and glared at Luke, who was surprised by Tony's reaction. "David is good at what he does", Tony spoke stiffly, he had thought he was over the way his mother had acted toward him. Luke frowned and realised he really knew nothing about Tony, "I'm sorry I didn't know they were dead". Tony laughed coldly at Luke's response, Luke frowned he had not expected Tony to react that way. "I never knew my father I assume he is dead, mother dear kicked me out, David took me in two years ago". Luke stared at Tony with sympathy; he couldn't imagine either of his parents kicking him out. "My rooms this way we might as well work in there the rest of the house is a bit formal". Luke nodded and followed the younger teen.
The teens were relaxing, the assignment was as done as it was going to get, Luke had found that he liked Tony, Tony was surprised at himself he had found Luke to be very friendly. "You want to grab something to eat?" Tony asked suddenly, Luke's stomach rumbled which made both teens laugh, "Come on, I will make something", Luke frowned but followed Tony to the kitchen. Luke looked around amazed at the kitchen it was huge with a breakfast bar, where Tony indicated for him to sit. Tony cut thick slices of bread and started to assemble sandwiches for them both, Tony smiled as he thought of the last time he had made this kind of sandwich Gary had told him that if you're going to make sandwiches to make them properly.
Luke watched Tony make the sandwiches they were huge, it was clear that Tony had made them for someone else before. Tony handed him the sandwich which he had cut in half, "Gary always told me that for the sake of everyone's dignity to cut this kind of sandwich in half", Luke saw the soft smile that Tony got when he spoke about Gary. Luke was curious as to who this Gary could be to teach Tony to make the kind of sandwich he presented.
"These things are big enough to fill up three people", Luke said with a grin, Tony laughed and nodded understanding what Luke said. "And yet Gary used to eat two or three", Tony laughed at the shocked expression on Luke's face, "Gary was different", Luke nodded as he ate not really understanding. "So who is Gary"? Luke asked, Tony grinned as he threw a can of soft drink at Luke, "He was a friend of David's, he helped me out from time to time"; Tony made a slight emphasis on friend. "What kind of friend"? Luke asked, the longer he spent with Tony the more he wanted to know about him. Tony looked at Luke and smiled he had not thought he would find a friend today, "Gary used to fuck David's brains out", Luke sat in silent shock, which made Tony laugh, "You want to go for a swim". Luke shock his head as he agreed with Tony about a swim, Tony was very random.
Luke looked down at the borrowed pair of swim shorts he wasn't sure where or why Tony had a pair that fitted him. He was however grateful that the smaller teen did, he had seen the large pool and had wanted to go swimming the instant he saw it. Tony stuck his head into the spare room, "Sorry I have to make a call, you go on in I won't be long". Luke nodded and headed out to the pool. Tony quickly called David; David had asked him to do so while he was away, just to make sure everything was alright.
Luke approached the pool and grinned to himself, he had never thought that Tony would be so friendly not after the way he and his friends had been toward him. Luke dived in and did a few laps of the pool, not noticing that Luke had exited the house until he was stood at the side of the pool above him. Luke was impressed he had never expected Tony to have an athletic build; Tony blushed slightly as the larger teen looked at him. "I swim a lot", was all he said as he dove into the pool entering the pool a short way from Luke. Luke watched the smaller teen swim, he had good form, "You been holding out on the school sports teams or what", Tony giggled as he reached the other teen. "No I just don't really have time for sport that's all", Luke couldn't believe what he was hearing, "Your part of some club or something", Tony shock his head nervously, he wasn't going to tell Luke he was a sorcerer.
The teens fooled around in the pool for an hour or so, they were sat back in the kitchen, "I picked this up after you left class yesterday". Luke handed Tony his missing book, Tony was relieved that it had been Luke who had picked it up. "Did you read it", Luke laughed, Tony frowned before he to laughed, of course Luke hadn't read it. "What language is it anyway"? Tony opened the book and smiled, the first thing David had taught him was how to read the ancient and nearly dead language. "It's a dead language, I don't think it's been spoken in hundreds of years, David taught me it's his book". Tony flipped a few pages and read the title, a brief history of modern male sorcery, "So what's it about", Luke asked watching the other teen.
"It's a brief history, would you like something to drink", Luke was surprised at the change in subject; it was as if Tony really didn't want to talk about the book. "Sure, and then I should head, I have work tonight", Tony nodded his understanding as he grabbed a drink for them, "well I will see you Monday", Luke said, Tony nodded, "Look I'm sorry about the way we treated you", Luke looked uncomfortable. "Don't worry about it, I know I'm an easy target", Luke was impressed with Tony's calm acceptance of what he and his friends had done to him. "But still I am sorry", Tony shrugged, "I will see you Monday Luke". Luke nodded and left.
Tony closed the door and shook his head; he had not really expected the day to go how it had gone. He had also not really realised how lonely he had been for people his own age, and people that didn't talk about magic and magical creatures. Tony returned to his room to work on the spells that David had left him. For the most part he was working on healing magic, for that he was focusing his mind and body, David told him that he would not be able to heal even a small scratch if he couldn't become in sync with his patient. Apparently the easiest way to do this was to try and heal your own body.
Tony didn't know how long he had been at it but, instead of feeling drained as he often did he felt somehow refreshed. He laughed at himself he had no doubt dozed off, he shook himself and looked around his room. It was bigger than he needed, with a double bed, desk large bookshelf a recliner and an entertainment system. It also had its own bathroom, shaking his head he went to his desk and retrieved his math homework no time like the present to get that done.
Luke got home in time to change and get ready for work; he had not thought he would be at Tony's all day. Luke shook his head; he had already decided he was going to get Greg to give Tony a break. Luke's mum stuck her head into his room, "You have work tonight", it was a statement more than a question, Luke nodded. His mum looked a little put out, "What's up", she just shook her head and started to go again, Luke shrugged. "Where have you been all day, Greg came around earlier he said he couldn't get you on your phone", Luke was surprised and looked at his phone, there were three missed calls from his friend. "I was doing a group assignment for English, I didn't even notice my phone", His mum smiled she was always pleased to hear he was working on his school work.
Jerry smiled to himself from Luke's backyard, "What are you so happy about"? Ben grinned at his mate and frowned. "Why are you here at not at David's"? Jerry turned to his mate and kissed him hard, his hands instantly started to reach for his mates cock, Ben responded instantly with a moan as Jerry's hands went down his pants. "I just followed Tony's friend here to make sure nothing followed him from David's", Ben nodded his understanding and started kissing Jerry again silently constructing the spell for teleportation.
Luke looked out his window and was startled to see two men kissing in his back yard. As he watched them it appeared as if a cloud of silver sparkles surrounded them as it cleared the pair were gone. Luke sat heavily on his bed, first his phone and now this, his day was just becoming weird.
Tony felt the shift in magic he spun around on his chair and gasped at the silver sparkles, he was however not surprised to find it revealed the kissing werewolves. "Really Benny clouds of silver sparkles", Jerry laughed into Ben's ear, Tony watched the pair, not surprised at their visit, and David had said that he would have someone watch the house. "Linda said it was polite to let people know when you are appearing the sparkles do that, see now Tony isn't surprised to see us here". Tony stood as the pair separated, "How do you make the sparkles? I can teleport but no sparkles". Ben grinned and started to show the younger sorcerer, Jerry shook his head, "I'm hungry, I'll be in the kitchen when you pair are done". Ben looked over at Jerry and grinned at him indicating he would like food as well.
Greg caught up with Luke outside before class, "Where were you Saturday, your mum had no idea where you got to". Luke knew he would have to explain to Greg as they were not in the same English class. "I had a group assignment to do, and my phone played up not sure what was wrong with it", Greg excepted that, he knew his friend was more into getting good grades then him not that many at the school knew that. "So who you have to work with"? Luke had hoped Greg wouldn't ask he looked around the school grounds before answering wondering where Tony was. "The teacher partnered me with Tony", Greg laughed and punched his arm, Luke glared at him and punched his arm back. "So when you want to bash the little fag", Greg grinned at his friend knowing he would get a response from him. Few at the school knew that Luke was gay, even fewer knew that Greg was ok with it and really didn't have much of a problem with people being gay. "I think we should lay off him, he's been through some pretty heavy shit". Greg frowned he hadn't thought Luke would care, "Sure we have others to pick on he was just easy". Luke laughed thinking of how Tony had admitted as much himself.
Tony watched the exchange and smiled, he had not expected Luke to act on what he had told him. However he was happy to hear that he was, he entered one of the boys toilets and made himself visible. As he exited Luke and Greg walked past for the first time nothing was said, Tony felt happy at the change. He even found himself smiling at school something he rarely did.
Jerry waited for Ben to finish his lecture; Ben had restarted uni at the beginning of the year after everything had settled down. Jerry was agitated, he had, had a call from Gary who had told him that there were a group of strays causing trouble further south. However from the information that Garry had it was only a matter of time before they made their way to Brisbane. It used to be that Gary would do a lot of the leg work involved in making sure strays behaved; now as the Alpha Mate he rarely left the pack lands. Now the alpha and her mate had Jerry and Ben deal with it in the Brisbane area as they were there anyway.
Ben exited the lecture and saw his mate, his face lit up with a smile, he said something to the girl he had been talking to and walked over to him. "Well this is nice, you don't normally come to my classes", Jerry hugged his mate and indicated they should go. It didn't take Jerry long to outline to Ben what Gary had asked them to do. "Does he want us to eliminate them? Try to get them to become pack", Jerry hesitated a moment too long. "That bad, how many have they killed"? Jerry shrugged, "we aren't sure, we don't even know where they are from, but the Sothern packs have had limited luck tracking them. They are hoping that we will be able to succeed where they failed". Ben nodded, he understood his duty to his pack, "Do we have any other information", Jerry shook his head.
It had been two week since the assignment; Tony looked at Luke who was now sitting next to him in English. Strangely Luke and his friends had had come up to him at lunch and just sat with him chatting. At first Tony didn't know what was going on and suspected they were up to something, however they kept doing and invited him to sit with them. Tony at first sat quietly with them, but it didn't take long for him to join in. The bell went to signal end of class, everyone else left leaving Tony and Luke in the class room alone. "Don't you have to get going", Tony smiled at Luke, who had deliberately stayed behind, how Tony got to and from school was bugging him. He had asked around and no one knew, Tony just appeared before the first bell and vanished after the last, he never got picked up and he wasn't seen at either bus or train stations.
"Nope I thought we could hang out", Tony paused midway through placing a book into his bag. "That would be cool how far is your place", Tony smiled as he continued to pack his bag thinking he had avoided that nicely. "I was thinking more your place", Tony froze again, David had been annoyed last time that Luke went to their place and had said it wasn't to happen again. "Um that wouldn't be such a good idea, David said that unless its school related no one was to come around while he was gone". Tony looked over at Luke, "I'm sorry it has to be your place or not at all", Luke nodded his understanding. "Maybe another time when David is around", Luke nodded, "well I will see you next week", Luke nodded again.
Tony had just exited the classroom and was forming the teleportation spell when he saw Greg walking toward him. He let the spell go which made him stagger back right into Luke, "Um sorry about that", Luke smiled at the smaller teen still holding him. Tony liked the way it felt when Luke was holding him, however knew that with Greg there he had no way of prolonging it. Tony was surprised to see that Luke looked reluctant to let him go. "Hay guys, you heading home, or staying at school for the weekend", Greg spoke loudly as he approached. Luke grinned at his friend they had planed his appearance before Tony could do his disappearing act, "Yes, Tony was going to come around my place and hang out". Greg nodded and grinned at his friend knowingly, ever since Luke had done his assignment with Tony he had been infatuated with the smaller teen
Tony was surprised but happy; Luke seemed to always make him happy, "You want to come" Luke asked Greg, who just shook his head. "Na man I got shit to do, catch you later". With that he was off indicating he had seen nothing out of the ordinary, with Tony before he came around the building. "Well come on my cars this way", Tony nodded and followed the larger teen.
Tony looked around Luke's room it was small compared to his with a double bed pushed against the wall a small desk and TV. Tony sat on the bed as Luke took the chair, "You have something you want to ask", Tony said as Luke looked at everything except Tony. In truth Luke had two questions, firstly he wanted to know how Tony felt about him, Greg and the others had all seen the way Luke acted toward Tony, the only one who seemed to miss his attraction was Tony. Secondly he really wanted to know how Tony got to and from school. "Ask I will answer if I can", Luke frowned at that, the longer he knew Tony the more questions he had. "Ok here goes and don't answer if you don't want to, are you gay, because I am and I was wondering if you wanted to go out sometime".
What Luke said came out in a rush and it took Tony a moment to work out what Luke had said. In that time Luke had stood up and started to pace around nervously. Tony stood in front of Luke forcing the larger teen to stop, he lent into Luke and tilted his head up, Luke needed no other indication. Luke wrapped his arms around Tony and kissed him gently at first but gradually with more force. Tony felt warm and happy, he had never thought that he would find someone while he was in school and yet here Luke was. What Luke didn't know was that all sorcerers were gay or bi, it was thought that was why sorceresses wanted nothing to do with them, well the human sorceresses, the werewolves and vampires didn't appear to care.
"Wont the others be", Tony started but Luke stopped him with another kiss, which lasted a good five minutes. "No, Greg already knows and the others know I'm gay", Tony was surprised but happy, Luke lead him to the bed, where they began an extended make out session. They were interrupted by Greg, "Hay boys, your mum let me in Luke as your phone seems to be going unheard". Tony jumped away from Luke quickly blushing a tomato red, Greg just grinned, "I see you finally told him", Luke rolled his eyes and threw a pillow at him. "So you guys want to go to a movie or something", Luke nodded but Tony hesitated until Luke looked at him, the exchange was cute to say the least. The only thing Tony thought was that David was going to kill him, "Ok, but I have to go home and change I will meet you in the mall or did you want to go to a different cinema". The others agreed to meet him in the mal, Tony left, Luke watched him leave before thinking how Tony was going to get home. He raced back to the front of his house opened the door expecting to see Tony on the street, he found nothing. Shaking his head he went back in still not knowing where Tony had gone.
Ben watched the five strays, they had entered the bar at around five and seemed to be content to drink and harass the women inside the bar. "Have they moved", Jerry asked, Ben shook his head and continued to watch, "Did you find where they are staying", Jerry nodded, he had tracked them to a cheap motel. "Did you find where they went last night", Ben paled earlier that day he had traced the five strays activities to an industrial sight filled with storage containers. "I found four bodies all human, they need to be put down", Jerry was a little shocked at Ben's attitude, when he had met Ben he had been so timid and always ready to run from a fight. A year and a half on and now he had a far more confident and strong mate who took challenges head on. The pair watched the bar waiting, the night would end with the termination of these strays.
Tony put a tight pair of jeans on and a polo shirt, David had told him not to get too fancy with clothes as they would always be getting damaged. Tony had also seen that Gary wore relatively dull clothing as well, jeans and a polo or a dress shirt, that is except shoes both wore very nice shoes. Tony had picked up the same habit; he tried to do something with his hair it was futile it still just flopped about. He took one last look in the mirror it was as good as it was going to get; he formed the teleportation spell in his head adding sparkles his were a glittery blue.
Luke took Tony back to his place, it was late when Tony realised he really should return, Luke offered to walk him to the bus stop, which Tony agreed to, he was sure he could get Luke to leave once they were there. It was as they were walking through are dark park that Tony felt a chill and as if someone or something were watching them. Luke stopped and started to kiss Tony, it was romantic to be kissing his new boyfriend in the darkened park. Tony pushed his worries aside and let his body react to Luke's.
Ben cursed himself he had lost his three, the group of strays had split up, he had followed three and Jerry had followed the other two. Ben changed tactics; the strays could hide from his nose, but not his mind, he quickly picked up on the trail there aura left it was different from the humans around him. He was not surprised as he came across his mate growling in frustration, "I hate when they get into cars, makes tracking hard", Ben laughed and indicated for his mate to follow. Jerry grinned he knew Ben was following them with his mind rather than his nose.
"Well, Well boys what do we have here, two little fag boys", Tony went tense at the sound of an older male's voice. Luke looked at the five men and sneered, "What's it to you old man jealous", Tony cringed this was not the way to deal with what he realized were five stray werewolves. "Luke, I, I think we should just go", the leader smiled and sniffed at Tony the leaders eyes went wide as he got the scent of a sorcerer. "You should listen to your little boyfriend he knows what he's talking about", Luke flared up, he didn't like it when anyone referred to Tony as little, he pushed Tony behind him. "How about you shut up old man and leave us alone", Tony was torn what could he do, to fight the werewolves he had to reveal himself to Luke, but not to would lead to a beating or worse. "Luke really we should go", Tony made his way in front of Luke and gathered elemental power to himself. "I'm so sorry Luke you were never supposed to know about this world", Luke was startled to see Tony's eyes change to a golden brown and glow. "All right strays lets rumble, Luke stay behind me", Luke watched as Tony levitated off the ground until he was eye level with the five men.
Tony summoned lightning to strike at the werewolves that began to shift, as he watched them he saw that they were only going for a partial shift. Gary had told him about it, a partial shift or beast form as Gary called it was a hybrid between man and wolf, Gary had also said that pack werewolves avoided it as it was difficult to control.
"You know this area", Ben said to Jerry as they ran toward a darkened park, Jerry nodded and sniffed the air scenting the five strays and two boys one sorcerer and the other a mortal. "It's around where Tony's friend lives", Ben turned to his mate and vanished focusing on Tony. Ben was not surprised to see the five strays fighting with Tony, looking around quickly he saw the other boy down with one of the strays mauling him. Ben may not have been taught the same way as Tony however he was older stronger and still knew more. Focusing his mind and depending on the element of surprise he struck out at the five strays, using elemental magic he created very thing waves of air so thing and sharp the cut through the necks of the strays.
Jerry ran into the park and saw the heads of the five strays leave their bodies; he knew that it had to be something his mate had done. All he could think was that he was never an enemy of the crystal moon pack. Ben turned to Tony and gathered the boy to him, "Tony, Tony its ok your safe", Tony struggled out of Bens arms and went to Luke who was laying still and bleeding. Tony turned to Ben and shouted, "Don't just stand there heal him already, he's going to die", Ben placed his hand on the teens shoulder, "I'm sorry Tony I don't know how, it is beyond my ability to heal". Tony looked up at him pleadingly; Ben closed his eyes and focused on Gary.
Gary woke with a start, his movements woke Linda, "Go to your brother, go now", Linda startled by the intensity of Gary's voice nodded once and disappeared. She reappeared and looked at Ben expectantly, "Can you heal him", Linda looked at the still teen and nodded her head once before she knelt beside him. "Ben take him away", Ben pulled Tony to his feet, Tony protested, "Now Ben", Linda spoke with the power and authority of an Alpha. "Yes Alpha Linda", with that Ben, Jerry and Tony vanished. Linda looked at the teen and focused she returned to the pack house with the boy the healing would take a bit of time.
