"Rett, do you know anyone that is old enough to buy more beer?" Damion said.

"No, not really. But there is more beer downstairs if we need it. You wanna get lit or something?" I said sitting in the chair next to the couch.

"Actually I kind of do. I don't really know anyone in this town, and you seem pretty cool."

"Well if you would like, I have a couch you can crash on. That is if you want. I mean you can't leave once you have been drinking." I said feeling stupid.

"Yeah, I was just going to ask you if I could crash here. I don't really like drinking and driving you know. Um, do you have a phone I can use so I could give my parents a call?" He said standing.

"Sure." I walked into the kitchen, and grabbed the cordless. I finished my beer, and grabbed another one. I looked over at Damion; he was talking on the phone. I wonder if he needs another beer as well. I grabbed one anyway, and walked over to him and handed him the beer. He looked at me and smiled.

"Thank-you!" He mouthed.

I just smiled and nodded.

"You want me to put it back on the hook?" He asked.

"Sure, yeah that would be great." I said.

We started drinking and talking about a lot of things. College, girls, sports, you know "guy" stuff. I tried to count how many beers I had had. I think we were both going on fifteen or so.

I got up went into my bedroom and grabbed a pack of smokes. I sat back down on the couch. Well I almost fell on the couch. I looked over at Damion and smiled. He returned the smile. He had a cute smile. Nice dimples and smile that could melt your heart, and stop time. I looked over at the clock, and it was still early, only twelve-thirty AM. I was excited. I still had time to spend with him.

DAMION

Wow, I can't believe that I have only been here a week, and I think I have found someone I am interested in. I bet he is straight though. I don't think I would stand a chance. At least I got a job. That is a plus. I am really drunk right now. I know he is, he can't even stand up straight. I wonder if I should try and hit on him, and if he says anything, I can always blame the beer. No that is stupid Damion, stop thinking like that.

"So do you like going dancing?" He said.

"Yeah, I do actually. Do you know any places around here that are half way decent?"

"No not really. Well I guess Suicide is pretty cool." He smiled. He has a killer smile. The kind only models have.

I got up to use the restroom.

"I'll be right back. Try not to miss me ok?"

"Oh don't worry I will." I thought I heard him say. I turned and looked at him, and he looked away. Was he watching me? Argh, I don't know.

RETT

Omigod. I hope hear what I said. Or notice me looking at him. Maybe I should call it a night. I am pretty drunk. I do have to get up early for school. I don't want to go to school.

"Did ya miss me?" He said.

"Don't ya know it." I replied.

I finished my beer and set it on the table. I stretched and put my hands over my head. My stomach slightly showing.

KNOCK KNOCK

"What the hell?" I got up to answer the door. It was my dad and his brother Sam.

"Sorry son, but we weren't going to drive home, so we walked here to crash." My dad said slurring his words.

"Yeah, thanks for the call. The cafe is clean. So no need to worry about that." Sam was looking at me. "Don't even start Uncle Sam. Just get the hell out of my face."

He grabbed me.

"That is not the way to talk to your family." He mumbled.

"Really? Since when did you know about respect? Just go in the guest room and pass out ok?" I said pulling my arm back.

"Rett, that is not..." My father started to say. I cut him off.

"Shut up dad. You can sleep in my room. Just let me get a couple things."

"Rett, maybe I should call a cab." Damion said.

"No, you don't. They were just going to bed."

They both headed off to the places they were going to sleep. I went over to the fridge and grabbed the last two beers. I handed one to Damion. I opened mine and started chugging. I set the beer down and went into my room.

"Dad, please don't say anything right now." I said harshly. I grabbed a pair of shorts, and a T-shirt. I went back out to the living room, and handed them to Damion.

"Here ya go. You can wear these tonight." I said smiling.

"I don't think I am going to ask what that was all about. Maybe tomorrow." He smiled. "But if you need someone to talk to then please be my guest. I am all ears."

"Thanks." I said. I smiled.

DAMION

What the hell was that all about? He is going to need a friend. Well he probably has a lot of friends.

RETT

"Hey, um do you wanna sleep on the hide-a-bed? It is big enough for four. That is if you don't mind sharing a bed." I said nervously.

"Sure not a problem. You want some help getting it out."

"No that is ok."

"Ok I am just gonna go use your bathroom. Put these on. Thanks for the jammies." He smiled.

I just returned the smile. I pulled out the bed, and got it made. I had to sit down. I was feeling really drunk. I closed my eyes for a minute.

"These are comfy. Hey dude, you ok?"

"Yeah, I am just really fucked up. How you doing?" I asked.

"Well, I am trying not to slur my words, and walk in a somewhat straight line. So I guess I am where you are."

We both laughed.

DAMION

God he looks really hot lying there. Should I make a move? I do like him.

"So Rett, are we calling it a night?" I asked walking over to him.

I am really messed up right now.

"Do you mind? I have school tomorrow and I have to train someone at work." He looked at me and smiled.

"That's cool." I smiled back at him.

Rett got up and turned the lights off. He is so hot. My imagination started running. I had to shake that off. I was rising and fast. I got on the bed and lay down. Rett came over and laid down too. I turned over to talk and he was right there. I didn't think he was that close. I started to say something but was interrupted.
