Chapter 17 Day 9 Part 1 Brandon's POV

I wake up with the sun in my eyes. I don't remember falling asleep and I really don't remember undressing. I am just in my undies with the hugest morning wood. I also need to pee. I rush to the bathroom and lucky for me, no one is in there. I know that there is no way that I can pee into the toilet in my present condition, but I really have to go. So I take off my undies and get into the shower. I just let go of my urine and at the angle of my dick, I almost pee into my nose. I turn the water to rinse me and the shower down, but my erection won't go down. Oh well, I guess I just have to take care of this. I lather up and pay attention to my groin and within a minute, I was shooting up to my nose again. Only this time, it actually does hit my nose. I laugh at myself as I am leaning on the side of the shower so I don't fall. Brandon junior goes back to his normal size and I finish up with my shower.

After getting dressed, you know briefs and shorts, I go see where everyone is. In the kitchen, there is a note: "Brandon -- I took Chrissy and Luke shopping. Dad went golfing with Dave Heiner. We'll be back later. Love you, Mom".

I guess I have to whole place to myself. I make a couple of eggs and toast to hold me over til lunch. I practice a little on the piano. It's been a long time since I have played. I had a few years of lessons when I was young, but like most kids, gave it up in my teen years. I'd really like to take lessons again. Girls really like a guy who can play a piano. That reminds me, I was going to give Jennifer a call. I hope she still has the same number. I still know it because I dialed it 100 times and would always hang up before it rang. Then that whole situation started with Luke. Humm... this is the first time thinking about what happened with Luke that I don't hate myself. I think that I have finally forgiven myself. It feels good.

I dial the number and hear a young ladies voice, "Hello?" I believe that is Jennifer's voice.

"Hi. My name is Brandon Davenport, is this Jennifer?"

"Brandon? Oh my gosh! Is that really you? Yes, it's me Jennifer and how are you? Are you home from France? How was it?"

I forgot that she could ask a thousand questions before you could answer one. "Yes, it's really me. I got home from France almost 2 weeks ago and it was fantastic. I lived with an amazing family and met some really nice people. It was an experience I wouldn't trade for anything. Anyway, I wanted to reconnect with old friends now that I am back and was wondering if we could get together and catch up."

"That would be wonderful!" She said. "How about if I make some sandwiches and stuff for a picnic and we go to the park tomorrow and just catch up? Will that work for you? We could always do it another time if you are busy."

"No, no." I say. "Tomorrow works great for me. Do you need to tell your boyfriend, because, you know, I don't want to cause any trouble? I would just like to catch up with you." This is my way of seeing if she is going out with anybody at the moment.

"Boyfriend?" She says. "Oh you must have heard that I was going out with Geoff Moore."

Geoff Moore? I think to myself. Why him? I never liked him and he was a big jerk."

She continues. "Nah, I broke up with him before prom. All he wanted to do was to get into my pants. He was a big jerk! I don't know what I ever saw in that guy. I haven't gone out with anyone since and got tired of playing the game. How about you? I bet you had all the gals in France falling for you."

"I did meet a lot of good people over there and became friends with most of them. I didn't go there to find a girl, I went to experience the culture, learn a new language, study and find myself. I learned a lot about myself in France, but we can talk all about that tomorrow. How about if I come by around 11am before it gets too hot out?"

"That sounds great!" Jennifer says. "Umm.... Your little brother won't be joining us will he? I just want to spend time with you."

"No." I say. "He's not so little anymore and has matured into a fine young man. He is the best brother anyone could ever ask for. We have gotten super close since I returned and I love him with all my heart." That last part my voice cracked a little. "Sorry. I get a little emotional talking about Luke."

"Aww....That's so sweet!" She says. "Wow, I look forward to hearing about this too. So 11am tomorrow? My place? I'll make ham and cheese sandwiches and my mom's famous potato salad. You bring the drinks, okay?"

"Sounds good. I can hardly wait." I say good-bye and hang up the phone. "YESS!" I say out loud. I wish we could have made it for today. Now I have to wait a whole day to see her. I'll have to think what we should have to drink. I'll ask Dad what he thinks.

After watching TV for a while, I hear Dad coming in the house. I rush to go see him and I ambush him just as he enters. "Guess what Dad?" I don't give him time to answer. "I have a date with Jennifer tomorrow. We're going to have a picnic in the park. I can hardly wait!"

"That's great, Son." I notice that he isn't his normal self. "Are you okay Dad? You look a little upset. I hope I didn't do anything wrong, because if I did, I'm sorry."

"No Brandon, you haven't done anything wrong. It's just that I spent the morning talking with Dave Heiner and it took a lot out of me. Let me take a shower and freshen up and I'll tell you all about it, okay?"

Not waiting for an answer, he leaves to his room but not before kissing me on the forehead.

In the mean time, I hear Mom drive up, so I decide to go see if they need any help bringing stuff in. Chrissy runs up to me and gives me a hug. Then she says that she has something for me and I need to close my eyes. I can tell when she is up to no good, but I play along. After I close my eyes, she gives me a big weezer on my bare belly and then she runs behind Mom.

"I'm going to get you, Chrissy Davenport." I say. "But don't worry, it won't be today. You see, I am very patient. So when you least expect it, expect it." I do the evil laugh thing and rub my hands together. Her eyes get really wide. "Or if you don't want to be looking over your shoulder all day, everyday, you could get it over with but I will give you two weezers or a full minute of tickles."

So behind Mom, she says, "Save me Mommy!"

Mom says back to her. "Hey, you got yourself into this all by yourself. You're on your own."

Chrissy then looks at Luke with those puppy dog eyes, "Lukie?" She says. Luke puts his hands up and tells her that she should take the deal.

"Fine!" Chrissy says looking defeated and comes over to me and lifts her shirt to give me access to her belly.

I get down on my knees and wet my lips. "You ready?" I say. Not waiting for an answer I count, one...two... and instead of saying three, I take a huge breath and give her a wet slobbery weezer. She pulled her shirt down real fast and wiped her tummy with it.

She yelled, "Hey!! You didn't say three, and that was wet!!"

I laugh. "I never said that I'd do it on three. Now you have one more to get, so lift up your shirt. She looks at Mom and Luke again and doesn't get any sympathy.

She reluctantly comes over and she lifts her shirt. I take a big breath and instead, I tickle, tickle, tickle, tickle her. She is screaming and laughing hysterically and trying to get away and can't. Mom and Luke are laughing their heads off and I'm laughing so hard that I can't even tickle Chrissy anymore. Dad, wearing just a robe and with wet hair came out to see what the ruckus was all about.

"What in the name of Sam Hill is going on out here?"

"What?" Luke was first to respond. Still chuckling, "In the name of who, Dad?"

Oh no! What did Luke just do? He knows to never ask Dad a question like that because he takes like a half an hour explaining it. I shot him a look and he realized what he had done. It was all too late because Dad already started answering his question.

"Who is Sam Hill? You don't know who Sam Hill was? Well let me tell you."

We looked at Mom for support but we knew we were done for. "Excuse me, Dear, but I need to get lunch started."

Luke volunteers, "I'll help!" But Dad says, "Oh no! You asked a question and now all of you get to learn." We all moan.

"The term, Sam Hill, is an euphemism. Do you guys know what an euphemism is?" We could be here for hours so I tell Dad that it is a term used in speech that replaces a more offensive word. Like Darn instead of damn, heck instead of hell, and frick in place of...well you get it."

I wonder what Dad would have done if I had said the F-word. Hey, F-word is also a euphemism too.

"That's right, Brandon. Two points for you. You know, `Two points for you' is also an example of a type of an euphemism which comes from Basketball for making a basket or you scored two points. Now in baseball, when you bat a thousand, it means that your average for hitting the ball is 1.000 which means...."

I cut Dad off, "We know what batting a thousand means, Dad. For the love of Pete, can we get back to who Sam Hill is?" What have I just done. "Forget I said anything about Pete. Save that for another day. Now Sam Hill."

"Oh? Okay." Dad says. Phew, we dodged that bullet. Dang it! Another euphemism. Oh crap! Ahhh, I can't stop!

Dad starts. "Back around 1850, Sam Hill was a geologist, surveyor, and mining engineer and had considerable power in the Keweenaw Peninsula area of Michigan. His judgment was respected. Hill also gained a reputation as being one of the most blasphemous and obscene swearers in the Keweenaw Peninsula. Although he had a colorful vocabulary and told many a good story of his early adventures, his ubiquitous use of lurid cuss words became legendary. Whenever friends or neighbors retold his colorful tales in more polite society, they had to tame his unmentionables by substituting his name, 'Sam Hill'. Hill used such foul language that his name became a euphemism for swear words."

Dad can go on for a half hour if he wants to so I cut him off there. "Thanks Dad. That's really interesting and now we know. How about we go inside and see what Mom is making for lunch. You should probably change into some clothes before the neighbors complain. Unless you want to join us kids and go `au naturel'?"

After looking down at his attire, he leads us back into the house. About 10 minutes later, Dad comes out of his room and we go into his den. He knows what I want to talk about so I sit down and he begins.

"I had a rather frank conversation with Dave this morning. For starters, he was really focused on being a good provider for his family and he never would have thought that his wife would have left him. He made the money and she ran the house. He loved his boys but he never learned how to be a dad. When she left, he didn't know how to connect with his sons. His own father wasn't home much, for he was always traveling. As you know, I have been giving him some advice. He is starting to take control of his house, and is having a heck of a time with Jon. He didn't think is was worth it because Jon has had so much freedom and is much older than Jacob. I told him that it was his duty to outlast Jon, because he needs to learn boundaries. Jon has much to learn about being an adult and a decent person or he will have an unhappy life. Any help you can give, Brandon, will help considerably."

"Of course I will, Dad." I say. "But did you talk to him about Jacob and what Jon did to him and how Jacob feels that he doesn't trust his dad to have his back?"

Dad took a deep breath. "Yeah, I did. It probably was the most difficult conversation I have ever had with someone. He was in denial and didn't think that maybe Jacob was remembering it correct or wanted to get Jon in trouble. I told him that it didn't matter what he thought. It was such a serious issue that he needed to find out for sure. He owed him that. Here is what I said to him.

"Dave, I'm going to be very frank with you. You asked for my help and I am going to be honest with you. If I ruin our friendship over it, so be it, but you need to hear me. Let me start off by saying that you have been a fantastic provider. You have provided your family with all the physical things that they need or want. You were dealt a blow when you wife gave up on her family and left you guys. That's tough. Real tough. Like I told you before, it will get worse before it gets better and you need to have endurance. You have already started that and it will get better. The hard part is going to be your relationships with your sons and the trust you need to have with them. Listen Dave, Jacob is hurting and you better step up to help him before you lose him for good."

He was shocked when I said that to him. He said he seamed fine to him.

"Just think about it Dave." I said. "How many friends does Jacob have? Does he ever go over to their house? Does he do activities with them? Has he mentioned their name? Does he ever go on a date or is interested in somebody? I bet he doesn't because he doesn't have any friends, at least until he met Luke. He doesn't play sports, belong to a club at school, go to church...he just stays out of the way and holes up in his room. He doesn't make many ripples and people just ignore him. This is not healthy, Dave. He is very unhappy. You need to be more than a father to him, he needs his dad. He needs, you!"

"I then gave him advice on how he might get to know his son. I said, `Take some time off and do something he likes to do and spend time, a lot of time with Jacob. Just talk to him, ask him what kind of music he likes or favorite food. You could show him how to golf or maybe take him bowling. Let him get to know you. Tell him funny stories about when you were young. He'll see that you were a real person like he is now and you made mistakes. Celebrate his highs, and be there for his lows."

"Brandon, I love being your father and I really enjoy being your dad. You are one of my closest friends too. I really missed you while you were in France, but the man that you have become, made it all worth it."

"Thanks, Dad. That means a lot to me. I too consider you one of my closest friends too. I feel I can talk to you about anything and you won't belittle me. But back to Dr. Heiner, did you talk to him about what happen to Jacob?"

Dad nods his head. "Yeah, I talked to him. It's a very delicate matter and it was probably the hardest conversation I have had with a friend. I did not look forward to it, but it had to be said."

"At first he denied that this could have happened. Then he was angry at me. He said, `I don't know why you are saying these things to me. This in unbelievable! I think I'd know if something like this was going on in my house. Did my wife put you up to this crap? I thought you were my friend.' I just let him vent but I think deep down he knew it was true. I had to tell him that I didn't hear it from Jacob himself but through trust and confidence, he told you and Luke. I told him that he needed to find out on his own and that I would be available if he wanted to consult me on the issue. I didn't tell him that Jacob tried to tell him about what had happened and that he didn't take it seriously. That will probably come up when he talks to him and will have to answer to it. I told him to not do anything rash and think it through. He might want to take a couple days off and figure it out. He may only have one chance to make this right. I have made myself available to him for the next couple of days if or rather when he needs me."

"I'm really sorry that I put you through that Dad." I said.

He cut me off, "No son, it had to be done and I had to do it. I'm glad you came to me with this. Well, maybe glad isn't the right word, but well, like I said it had to be done. I think Dave will step up and do the right thing."

"Thanks, Dad. I sure hope so. If anything goes wrong or what ever, would it be okay if Jacob stayed with us until things cool down? Especially if Dr. Heiner and Jon find out he is gay. It might be too much for him. I just want him to know that there is a safe place where people care about him that he can go to. I'd hate for him to run away or get kicked out and be on his own."

"Of course, Brandon. He could stay here for as long as he needs to if he is no longer welcome or feel safe at his home. I know that you are thinking ahead, but I really do think Dave will step up. How about Jon? I assume you have a plan for him, don't you? I know that you talked a lot with him the other night and maybe you will be able to get through to him."

Mom came in and said that lunch was ready and since we were done with our talk, we came out. Dad and I were quite somber during lunch which didn't go unnoticed. Luke asked me what was up and I told him that I'd tell him later.

After lunch, Luke and I washed the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen. Luke just let me talk when I was ready. I told him that Dad had a talk with Dr. Heiner and it really got me bothered. I sat down on a stool and put my face into my hands and rubbed my face.

"Dad thinks that Dr. Heiner will step up, but has never developed a relationship with his kids because he was too busy becoming a doctor and providing for his family. He's a great doctor, but doesn't know how to be a dad? Dad is going to help him with that, though it just might be too late. I don't know. I'm supposed to help Jon but I don't know if I really want to. I am very upset with Jon and I don't know if I can be objective."

Luke hugs me from behind and has his head next to mine. "Brandon, I know you will do whatever it takes to help. You can't help it, it's just your nature. Plus, if it makes things better for Jake and in the process, or Grayson... I have no doubts."

I stand up and take Luke into my arms. "Thanks Luke, that's just what I needed to hear." It's crazy how with just a few words from Luke, makes all the difference in the world. He doesn't let go of me until I am ready. I wonder how long he actually would hug me if I didn't pull away.

Then I remembered something. I pull away from Luke so I can see his face and I have a big smile. "Guess who I talked to this morning?" I don't wait for a response. "I have a date with Jennifer tomorrow. I called her up this morning and she is excited to see me and we are going to have a picnic."

"Wow!" Luke says. "That's wonderful! I'm so excited for you! My time with you these last couple of weeks have been great, but I'm good now and don't need a babysitter. So you two have fun and I hope everything works out for you this time." He then gives me another hug.

"Luke?" I say. "So how many times a day do you think we hug?" He looks at me perplexed, then smiled.

"I would probably say about the right amount of times. If you ever think that I think that it happens too often, that'll never happen." Then he gives me another hug, two kisses on the cheeks and one on the lips. "Does that answer your question, Brandon?"

I put my fingers on my chin, like I'm thinking. "I'm not quite sure. Could you tell me again just to be sure? I'm not sure if I heard you correctly." He says,

"I'll try not to stutter this time." He gives me a tight embrace, then kisses each cheek back and forth 3 times, then back into another tight hug, then a kiss on the forehead and 3 kisses on the lips, and one on the nose. "Did you hear me that time?" Luke said.

I cover my ears, "Yes! But you didn't need to shout!" We both laugh.

We're done with the dishes and Luke tells me that he is going to over to Grayson's, and he leaves. For a second I wonder why I wasn't invited and I had to remember that he is Luke's best friend and I should have friends that aren't my brother's.

Mom comes into the room and I realize something. "Mom. Can I talk with you for a minute?"

She says, "Of course, Honey. What's on your mind?"

I grin. "I have a date tomorrow with Jennifer. Did Dad tell you?"

She said that he had and that they were excited that I was going to get some time away from the house. She said, "You have been so selfless since you have been home. You have been so helpful with Luke and your father and I couldn't be happier with you. I was telling your dad that I was hoping that you would start thinking about yourself and have some fun away from the family. So what do you have planned for your date?"

"I just want it to be casual. I don't want to rush into anything, so I want to just play it by ear. I have always liked Jennifer and I just want to spend some time with her and get to know her better. So, we decided that we'd have a picnic in the park and she offered to bring lunch. I want to bring some sparkling apple cider and I'd really like to give her some yellow roses. So, what I wanted to ask is...

"Do you think a hundred dollars is enough?" Mom said as she cut me off. "A young Lady deserves a dozen roses. Do you know that on our first date, your father gave me a dozen yellow roses?"

"Really? Dad? That actually makes sense. He told my that I should give Jennifer a yellow rose. He told me that it means that you want her to know that you care about her and that first and foremost you want to be friends. You also respect her and don't want to just have a physical relationship, but want to get to know her as a person."

"Your dad has taught you well. He can be a real romantic too. You could learn a lot from him."

"Thanks, Mom. I plan on getting a job soon and then I'll pay you back. I promise."

"Nonsense, Honey?!" I do support you getting a job, but you don't need to pay me back." She grins at me. "This way, if you two do get together, I can say that it was because of me and I'll never let you forget it. I'll have bragging rights and it will be money well spent." She chuckles.

"Oh my gosh, Mom! You are so crazy..." I give her a big hug. "...and I love it." I am so lucky to have a great mom.

I make a call to the florist and order a dozen yellow roses. I then add an extra one for her mom. I tell him that I'll come by around 10:15 or 10:30 in the morning. I just hang up the phone and I immediately get a call from Luke.

I answer saying, "Hey, did you miss me already?"

"Brandon!" Luke said with a very serious voice. I can tell that something is wrong just by him saying my name. "I'm at Grayson's. Come over as soon as you can. I need you."
