Heart Breaking Love 5

Wade and I laid in bed, naked. My head on his chest, I listened to his heart beating... Thump, thump, thump. I looked up at his face, smiling even in sleep. I couldn't though. What Beau had said bothered me. He said he loved me... But I couldn't just dump Wade to take him back! Then I'm his mistake and he drives away his "ex girlfriend". I avoided his dad all week. But I know he'll catch up to me eventually. I decided that my worries could wait till later. I was with my boyfriend. My absolutely wonderful boyfriend. I hadn't told Wade what was going on with Beau though. I knew it would only upset him. At first I had thought they didn't like each other because Wade was into me. But Wade denies it, saying there are "other issues you don't need to worry about love." That bugs the hell out of me too! He didn't keep secrets, save for that. It was a Saturday night and Wade stayed over I informed my parents this time and my mom immediately said yes, she always liked Wade. She liked Beau as well, but began hating him when I told about our break up. Needless to say, mama was quite glad to discover Wade was my new boyfriend. As I tried to shove away my worries, I counted my blessings. A wonderful, beautiful, supportive boyfriend. Loving parents. The best best friend. Why, then, does the guy from thee past have to disturb my tranquility? Maybe... He's jealous. Could it be? I'd never entertained the idea before, but it's plausible. He's obviously getting messed up on hard drugs and changing into someone I never knew. He could be listening to the little green monster he'd never paid attention to before. But, I wondered, could someone change so much so quickly? I don't know! Ah! Stop it Aiden! Good thoughts, positivity, sunshine... I finally fell asleep in Wade's arms. By noon, Wade had gone. His mom suddenly needed at home for obscure reason he said he didn't even know of. So, with my lover boy gone I stayed in my room until evening. Then, my mom knocked on my door and entered. She looked a little angry, she said, "Aiden, you have... a visitor." She spat out the last word out with venom. I raised my eyebrow and quickly walked to the living room. Mama disappeared into her bedroom. As soon as I walked in, I saw the reason for the venom. Beau was seated on the couch, wearing faded and ripped jeans. He had an old grey sweater and held his face in his hands, as if he had no hope. It pained my heart. I took his hand in mine and led him to my room. There, I sat him on my bed next to me.

"Are you okay Beau?" I asked quietly. He nodded then looked at me, his eyes red. I didn't know if he was high, had been crying, or both. But then he pulled me into a tight bear hug and refused to let me go. That is, until my mom cleared her throat.

"Aiden has a boyfriend." She said simply. Of course, what she meant was 'Get the hell out', but she was far too pilot to say that outright.

"I know... I just... I don't have anyone else." Beau admitted. After seeing the look of despair on his face, my mom said, "Alright. But remember, you can't have him." And walked out. Beau looked back to me. Then down.

"I did something bad." He said.

"What is it?"

"I hit Veronica... hard."

"Why?" I tried to keep my voice steady.

"She... We were getting high. And she started calling me a faggot. How I couldn't... Make get feel good." He said with some hesitation.

"But I'm not gay," he continued. "She pissed me off! She kept saying it and we just screamed at each other, until she kicked me out of her house. I drove away, far away." He finished.

"If you aren't gay.... Why did you date me? Why did you have sex with me?" I really wanted answers.

"I don't know," he shrugged. "You were... cute. You looked like you needed someone."

I stood up and looked at him.

"So you broke up with me because you got tired of pretending?"

"No!" He stood up too. "I just..." He sat back down. "I don't know Aiden... I'm so confused about everything. Before I met you, I thought I was straight. I had girlfriends, screwed them too. But, then I saw you." He smiled then. "I thought you were so beautiful. And when I kissed you that first time, it was like electricity running through my lips. I wanted you so badly. That entire time we were together, I felt like I was in heaven. Now, I'm in hell. And I know I don't have any right, but Aiden.. "He got on his knees before me. "can you forgive me? And help me out of the hole I've dug myself in?"

I regarded him for a long time. Was he being genuine? Or was he a liar? Oh! But his puppy eyes begged and I caved.

"Ok..." I said cautiously. "I forgive you. But, I WILL help. I'm going to make sure you're clean, and you get proper help."

I searched his room and car while Beau and his dad watched. I bagged everything. Needles and all. Those were thrown in dumpsters. Next, I got with his dad to have him enter therapy. His dad had a few friends on the police force who might be able to get Beau someone good. Finally, I called Wade.

"Hey love," he answered. "What's up?"

"I know you're going to be angry, but Beau is in trouble and I'm helping him." The line was silent for a few moments. Then answered.

"Ok. I understand my love. But just know that if he steps out if line, I'll kick out his front teeth!"

I laughed. Beau looked at me, hopeful.

"I'm glad you understand. He's going to be sitting with us at lunch, and with us a lot. I just don't want any fights, ok?"

"Yessir!" We said goodbye and hung up. I turned to Beau smiling.

"You're golden." I sat down next to him on my bed, sipping ice water. I looked over to him and saw an old familiar lust in his eyes. He began to lean over. In a slight panic, I 'accidentally' spilled my drink on his pants.

"Oopsie!" I said, jumping up quickly. "Soverysorryawfullyclumsyofme" I said quickly, exciting the room to get a towel. That was close! But what if he does it again? What if I don't resist? No. I must if he does. I have Wade and I cannot betray him. Then I have to talk to Beau. By the time I came back, I had assembled a mini speech in my head. Unfortunately for me, Beau had decided to remove his pants to assess the 'damage'. Shit. Resisting was going to be hard. ************* That Monday morning, Beau waited outside my house for me. We sat on the bus together too. We spent first period together. He had a hard time letting me go when second period rolled around. I didn't catch him with lust in his eyes, but a sort of needful gaze. Like he didn't want to let me go even on pain of death. I took him to eat lunch with me when 4th period ended. Wade seemed surprised, I guess he didn't think I'd stick with what I said. Sam glared at Beau. To give him credit, Beau didn't react except for a brief acknowledgment of both their presences. He didn't shift uncomfortably like Wade did when he sat down. I spent the rest of the lunch period trying to integrate Beau into the conversation with little success. I guess Wade wasn't as understanding after all. When the bell rang and it was time to go Wade took me aside, leaving Beau waiting for me and, Sam trying to kill him with a look.

"I thought you were kidding about Beau." Wade said flatly.

"Why would I kid? Wade, seriously, I was really hoping you could put aside your differences and-" Wade cut me off.

"Nope. I hate him with a passion Aiden and so should you! He dumped you over text and then ignores you completely! Now he comes back and you.immediately yield. He's manipulating you Aiden. Why can't you see that?" The thought of being played crossed my mind, but I had quickly discarded the idea. He was too sincere, at least, in my eyes.

"Wade..." I sighed. "Please, I think he really needs help. And yeah, he really fucked me over. But, I still believe he deserves a second chance." I looked into Wade's eyes and pleaded. Finally, he relented.

"Fine. But only for you, my love." He said, then smiled. We shared a kiss then hurried off to fifth period.

That evening, Beau came over. We stayed in my room and watched The Twilight Zone. As one episode ended, Beau stood up to leave. He stretched and gazed down at me, laying on my bed. A sad look swept over him. I stood up as well and moved towards him.

"Thank you Aiden," he said, "For giving me a second chance." I smiled and embraced him.

"You're welcome Beau. You just looked so lost. I couldn't just ignore you." I replied.

"Yeah." He breathed softly. Uh oh. There's that lustful look again. I cleared my throat but he just continued to stare at me.

"So, uh..." I began, but Beau shushed me. Then he pulled me into his body and put his lips against mine. That old spark rekindled once more, I kissed him back.

Author's note: Thanks everyone for the encouraging emails! I've never really stuck with writing a long story before, but everybody's love is perfect fuel for me to keep on going. I hope you enjoyed this chapter, more to come soon. :)
