The sun was bright. I slowly opened my eyes and looked to my left side.

"Good morning, J" Dave said sleepily.

"Hey..." I grunted, fighting to stay awake. I felt his hands rubbing my back while I lay in his bed, with my head on his pillow. "What time is it Davie?"

"About 7:30. I've been watching you sleep since about 7." Dave told me with a sleepy grin. I did a strange grunt noise and moved over so my head was on his chest and smiled up at him. "Sleep well?" he asked.

"Yeah, it's nice having someone to hold while I sleep. You make a great pillow by the way" I sighed happily. "When's breakfast? "

"Should be soon, I can smell it. Let's go find out" Dave slowly pulled the covers off of us and stroked my hair for a few seconds before slowly lifting me up so we were both sitting. We got out of the bed and walked down stairs into the kitchen. This time Shannon was cooking.

"Good morning guys! Sleep well?" Shannon asked energetically. She was way too much of a morning person for me.

"Great," Dave grunted. He reached around for my hand and grabbed it. "except J snores like a monster truck!" Dave giggled while squeezing my hand.

"What? Really?" I asked surprised.

"Haha, nah, you were pretty quiet. It was cute. "Dave leaned down and kissed me on the forehead, in front of Shannon. I blushed deep dark red. Shannon must have noticed this.

"So judging by the hand holding and kissing I will assume you two are more than friends now." Shannon winked at us. "Don't worry Jack, Sarah and I won't judge you or Davie for anything that happens here ok? I remember how hard it was, going through high school, hiding the fact that you're gay, just think of this house as your safe haven." Shannon reassured me.

"Wow...thanks a lot." I smiled at Shannon. I've always felt so confined, hiding one of the biggest parts of me from almost everyone.

"So, do your parents know that you're gay?" Shannon asked.

"No. My mom has some friends that are gay, so she might be ok with it, but I have no clue how my dad would take it, and I know my oldest brother would hate me, so I guess it's just the safest to stay hidden." I explained as Davie pulled me to a stool in front of the counter, where we sat and he laid his head on my shoulder.

"I understand. My parents weren't too happy with it, but they didn't do anything." Shannon told me as she put pancakes on plates in front of me and Dave. "Jeez Dave, let the boy breathe." She said with a grin.

"Hey, he likes it! He told me himself." Dave defended. "So, where's mom this morning?" He asked.

"Work. Tooth decay never sleeps in this bustling metropolis of golf and retired people." Shannon described our city almost perfectly. The self proclaimed golf capitol of the world, it's where everyone's grandparents move once they realize Florida is too crowded. We have an army base and an air force base about thirty minutes away, along with the mall and all the big stores. We were slowly growing, getting a best buy and a GameStop made it a little more bearable.

Dave and I ate quickly. The pancakes were amazing, moist and full of chocolate chips, way better than the ones my mom made. Over breakfast Dave and I talked to Shannon about school. I told them about my schedule. This semester I had German, biology, algebra 2, and band. I play trumpet. Dave had chemistry, English, French, and US History. Next semester we would both get four new classes.

"Thanks loads Mrs. Shannon! Breakfast was great." I said as I got up from the counter.

"No problem. Thanks for the conversation." She replied. Dave held my hand and led me back to his room. I think I heard Shannon sigh something about young love as we walked away.

"So, what do you want to do today cutie?" Dave asked me once we were back in his room.

"Well, I need to go home and shower and change I guess. I didn't have anything planned really. Oh yeah! Guess what!" I exclaimed.

"What?!" Dave asked.

"This!" I shouted as I ran towards him and jumped on him, wrapping my arms around him, both of us landing on the bed laughing.

"Oh yeah?" Dave asked between giggles. "Well guess what?"

"What? I asked.

"This!!!" Dave called out as he rolled on top of me and began to tickle me mercilessly all over. I began to giggle madly.

"Davie!!!!!!" I laughed. I squirmed like mad, trying to get him off of me, but thoroughly enjoying it.

"Oh no you don't!" Dave exclaimed with a big smile. He wrapped his arms around me tight and stopped tickling. He looked in my eyes for a few seconds, and leaned in to kiss me gently on the lips. "Wow, you are amazing Jack, no way around that." He rolled around so I was back on his chest. "It was amazing to have you beside me, in my arms last night." He turned me over so I was on my back, on his chest, and sat up and positioned it so I was in his lap. "I guess I'll take you home in a few. Do I get to meet your mom now?" Dave asked.

"Maybe, some Saturdays she comes home early, some she doesn't come home till late in the afternoon. My brother might be there, or he might be at work." I explained. "Let me get dressed and we can go.

"Cool, same here." Dave whispered in my ear. I loved it when he did that. I got out of his lap and he got up and went to his dresser and pulled out a pair of cargo khaki shorts. "How do these look?"

"Hot." I replied with a smile. I found my clothes from the night before and thought for a moment. I could go to the bathroom and change, or I could change right here, in front of Dave. I wasn't wearing underwear. Part of me wanted to, but I was also a little nervous. Nah, another time. I grabbed my clothes and walked to the bathroom. I got redressed and messed with my hair a bit. Yeah, I need a shower.

"Hey Dave, what should I do with these?" I asked as I walked back into his room, holding the clothes I slept in.

"Oh, just toss them in the basket over there "He pointed to a basket in the corner of the room, full of dirty clothes. I dropped them in and Dave led me downstairs and out the door.

"It's nice today! Not too hot or cold, we should do something" Dave exclaimed

"Sure!" I replied. We got in the car and he put in a homemade CD. The First track was Feel Good Inc. by the Gorillaz.

"Do you like this song?" Dave asked

"Eh, it's ok. It was a little over played but it's not bad." I told him. Actually, Troy bought me the CD with that song on it for my birthday a few years ago. I let my brother borrow it and I have yet to see it again.

I think it would be best to say right now, I am terrible with directions. I can almost follow a map, but I can't follow directions or street names or anything. Needless to say, it was not easy telling him how to get to my house.

"I'm getting you a GPS for Christmas J" Dave told me after wandering around for ten minutes.

"No way, you can't spend money on me, it's uh...against my ancient monk code." I always felt awkward accepting gifts from people.

"Calm down, Aang, I don't think monk Gyatso will take away your avatar status." Dave joked. Wow, he made an avatar reference.

"Wow, you like Avatar?" I asked. Avatar was this cartoon about a boy named Aang who is chosen to be the master of all elements and save the world. Monk Gyatso was his teacher. It's a little complicated.

"Oh yeah, I'm still eleven deep down." He grinned at me. "Hey! Is this one it?" He stopped at a one story house, with a huge tree in the front yard. It was made of brick and there was a silver seabring in the front yard.

"Yeah, and you're in luck, mom is home." I said sarcastically. "Remember, I'm straight and you're just a friend, so no random groping, ok?"

"Aww, you're no fun at all are you? I'll try my hardest to keep my hands off you but I dunno... I might explode!" he giggled. I smiled back and grabbed my book back out of the back of his car, where I left it the day before.

"Here we go." I sighed. We got out of the car and walked through the front door. "Mum, I'm home, and I brought my friend." I called out. We were standing in my living room. There was an old piano that no one ever played that had framed pictures on it. Straight in front of us was a door way to the kitchen. There was a tan couch, two end tables, a small TV on a table between a bookshelf and an end table, two rocking chairs. No one ever spent much time in this room, so it was just a place to put stuff.

"I'm back here." Mom called out from the back of the house. I squeezed David's hand one last time and then let go and led him down my own hall of pictures. There was a bathroom on the left, and my brother's room on the right. There we're two frames with collages of pictures of me and my brother when we were younger

"Aww...look at my lil baby boy!" Dave whispered. I blushed. On the other side of the wall, there hung pictures of my mom when she was around five, and my brother and I at the same age. My brother was definitely the child of my mother: you could see it. I looked more like my dad. I led Dave into my mom's room, where she sat on the king sized bed watching a movie on the television. My mom had long curly blond hair, not natural color. She was wearing a green shirt and a pair of jeans.

"Hi mom, this Is Dave from school." I said from the door way to her room.

"Hello ma'am!" David stood behind me.

"Oh! Hello! Come in!" Mom motioned us to sit on the bed. "Thank you so much for helping Jack. It's nice to know he has someone at school looking after him."

"Oh, it's no problem at all!" Dave replied.

"Well, I'm sorry but I have to go. I need to restock the restaurant and take out fish to thaw. Never buy a restaurant, that's the best advice I have. It was lovely to have met you David. Jack, I'm not sure if I will be here or not tonight. Dave is welcome to stay the night if he wants." Mom told us. We both smiled big. Mom kissed me on the cheek and walked out the door.

"Awesome!" Dave shouted out. "So, I guess it's time to show me your room!"

"Yeah yeah, come on. It's the door right there, a foot from you." I led Dave in my room. Right in front of us when we walked in the door was a pile of dirty clothes, in front of my long brown dresser. Above the dresser was a shelf covered in nutcrackers, my small obsession. Beside the dresser was a tall bookshelf filled with books. On the other wall, beside the book shelf was a night stand with a lamp and a clock. In the back right corner was my queen sized bed, with my moons and stars comforter, and light blue sheets. I had four pillows, one of which was pale pink and the most comfortable thing in the world. On the wall down from the bed was my desk, upon which sat my prized computer, the nicest thing I owned. I had a TV on a stand beside the door and some odd tables lying on the ground. My room was small.

"Ohh Jack, your room is awesome! It's so cozy, and warm, I love it!" Dave exclaimed.

"Uh, I guess... it's too small I think." I sighed.

"No way, it's perfect. My room is too big. For some reason, your room just makes me feel safe." Dave explained. I had to admit, I agreed. For some reason the smallness of the room made me feel secure and safe. I was happiest when I was curled up in the corner of the bed, up against the wall with my back to the door, covers pulled over me.

I walked to the dresser and pulled out a dark blue shirt with a simple white outline of a dinosaur destroying Tokyo city with the characters for "Special Disaster Police" on it, and the letters TPCD in yellow on the back. I held it up to my chest "How does this look?" I asked

"Cute." Dave said with a grin. I reached back into the dresser and grabbed a pair of briefs and a pair of tan khaki shorts and headed to the bathroom, Dave followed. I stepped into the bathroom and Dave looked at me with a question in his eyes. I nodded, and he followed me in. He sat on the toilet and I nervously undressed. I slowly removed my shirt, and his eyes were glued to me, with a constant smile on his face. I smiled back as I removed my pants, and then my underwear. He examined me up and down, and eventually sighed happily. "Wow, and your mine?" he asked. I blushed deep red.

"Yeah, sorry about that." I replied.

"Oh, I'm more than happy with it." He grinned big at me, and I got in the shower. A stream of hot water poured down on me and Dave talked to me.

"So, I need to go to Best Buy, want to come?" Dave asked

"Sure!" I called from the shower. "Is it a date? Hehe." I giggled.

"Nah, our first date has got to be way better. How about we go out to dinner tonight?" Dave requested.

"Sounds great!" I shouted. I washed my hair and rubbed myself down with a bar of soap and hopped out of the shower. Dave stared at me, wet and naked, I glanced to his lap and I saw a slight bulge in his pants. I giggled and scrubbed my hair dry with my orange towel, then wrapped it around my waist. I stood beside Dave in front of the mirror and brushed my teeth. While I was brushing, I felt a pair of warm arms wrap around me and rub my chest. Dave looked at us in the mirror and smiled.

"I need a picture of us, for the wall." Dave told me.

"Oor, I ay un ater" I tried to talk with a tooth brush in my mouth, it didn't work to well.

"Uh..." Dave asked puzzled. I spat out my tooth paste and rinsed out my mouth.

"I Said, cool, I'll take one later." I explained.

"Good boy." Dave smiled as he leaned in for a kiss. I felt his lips press against mine, as I wrapped my arms around him and squeezed him tight. I felt his arms wrapping around me as he broke the kiss and gazed into my eyes. "I love you" he sighed with a smile.

"I love you too Davie." I whispered back. I dropped my towel, and pulled my shorts and briefs on, and led Dave back to my room. "It's only 10:30, want to go...snuggle a bit?" I asked

"You know it Jackie" Dave grabbed my hand and led me to my room. Laid on my bed and pulled me on the bed onto the bed next to him. We were both facing the same direction, and he was holding me from behind. I felt him kissing the back of my neck, and I melted. His hand reached over my chest and began to seek mine. I reached down for it and held it tight. "I love holding your hands, they are so soft, and warm, your hands warm my heart I swear" A small tear rolled down my cheek, he was so beautiful. I slowly began to drift off to sleep.

I woke up an hour later. I was in my bed, but I wasn't alone. Dave still had his arm around me. I grunted softly. "Sorry about that...I was really tired..."

"It's ok, Prince Jackie, I dozed off a bit myself." He whispered. "We can go get lunch and go to the store in a few minutes ok?"

"Sounds like a plan!" I turned around and kissed him on the cheek. In a few minutes we would get up, and go out into the world, but for now the only people in the world were Jack A. Raynor and David B. Gavet.
