*********************************** Disclaimer: Nope, don't know them, don't own them. But while I was playing with my Ouigi board last night something dawned on me, I can't have them. Drats, spoiled plan, back to the drawing board. this story is completely fiction, in every way shape and form. *********************************** Just Another Day - Chapter 6

"Alex looks exactly like me, why would I want to have pictures of him around, I know what he looks like." I said and shrugged, eating my pizza.

"You have a twin?" Brian asked.

"Yeah, if you want to call him that." I said and got up to get a coke.

"Does anyone know about him?" Brian asked.

"I sat back down with my cold coke, "No, most don't even know I have a brother."

"Why?" Brian asked.

"Because everyone assumes that I'm an only child. I don't mind. And if they do ask, I tell them that I have a brother and sister. Then they assume that they are older or younger than me. If they ask ages, I tell them that both my brother and sister are younger. I don't like to call Alex a twin, it makes him sound like a mistake." I explained and went back to eating.

Once the rest of the pizza was gone it dawned on me that I needed to call Lily's house to find out what time the party was on Saturday. I picked up the cordless that sat on the kitchen table and dialed the number from memory.

I waited for Lily's mother to pick up.

"Hello?"

"Hello, this is Dr. Ray, I was wondering what time the party was on Saturday," I said and waited.

"It's at noon, and please bring anybody you wish, Lily will love it." Her mother said joyfully.

"Okay then, Saturday at noon. Good-bye." I said and hung up.

"So, what was that about?" Brain asked, leaning on his arms on the table.

"A patient wants me to come to a birthday party, and I'm taking you and Alex with me, you'll love it, and you'll fit right in, don't worry." I said and picked the phone up again.

I dialed long distance and waited for the cal to connect.

"Hello?"

"Yeah, listen, I'm taking you to a birthday party on Saturday, not fancy but..." That was as far as I got, Brian took the phone out of my hand. "Hey!" I exclaimed and reached for the phone.

"I'm on the phone Chad, hush." Brian said foolishly.

"Umm... Hello?" Alex said.

"You do realize that your brother never speaks of you right?" Brian asked while waving at me.

"Actually. Yes, I do know that." Chad said.

"Well, I was just making sure, you know he doesn't have any pictures of you either."

"I know that too, I don't have any of him, what's the point? I know what he looks like." Chad said. "Will you hold on a minute?"

Brian pulled the phone away from his ear and I could hear Alex screaming in Italian. Brian made the motion with his eyes and mouthed, "Okay."

I laughed, if I knew my brother as well as I think he did, he was yelling at me to get this idiot off the phone, and I was correct, in Italian I understood that he wanted to know what was going on and who was on the phone.

I took the phone and spoke in Italian.

~In Italian~

"Who is that Chad?"

"That's Brian."

"Brian who, that guy that was there earlier?"

"Yeah, potential boyfriend."

"Oh really? Why didn't I hear this before?"

"Umm... I was preoccupied." I said and laughed.

"What, Chad, nothing distracts you, what was he doing? Blowing you?"

"No, no, no..." I said and laughed. "He was seducing me, and it was working until you said you were coming tomorrow, when is your flight by the way?"

"Comes into Raleigh National at 7 P.M. I believe," I heard the rusling of papers, "Yeah, 7 PM at gate 4E."

"Okay," I said and wrote it down on a napkin. "I have an idea, why don't we wear the same thing so that Brian gets confused."

"That's mean, bro." Alex said and laughed, "I like it. How about Khakis and a light blue Tommy shirt?"

"Okay, I have that in my closet. Does the family know you're coming?"

"No, they don't, and I don't want them to, they will fly up and try and find me a date."

I laughed. "Yes, they will. I won't tell, bro."

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Brian waving to get my attention. "Hold on bro." I said.

"Yes?" I said, still in Italian.

"Can we talk in English for a while? My brain can't handle anything more." Brian said and grabbed his head as to indicate a headache.

"Okay, hold on a minute, why don't you go into the den and watch TV?" I said, not realizing I was still speaking in Italian.

"CHAD!" Alex screamed into the phone.

"What?" I asked, still in Italian.

"The boy asked for E-N-G-L-I-S-H, not Italian." Alex said and laughed.

I shook my head. "Sorry," I said to Brian, "Why don't you go watch TV in the den while I finish talking to Alex?"

"Sure, okay." Brain said and went into the hall and stopped.

I smiled. "To the left." I said and watched Brian try and find his way to the den.

"So.." I said to Alex.

"Now what's this thing with Brian? Who is he? What does he do? What's he like? Is he cute?"

I laughed. "I can't tell you, you'll find out when you come tomorrow. What time does your flight leave?" I asked.

"Around 8," Alex said. "SHIT! It's almost 8 now! Listen I won't see you if I don't start packing and makin my way to the jet, see you tomorrow night." Alex said.

"Night bro," I said and hung up.
