So here is the big number 45!
Only six more chapters after this! The next chapter won't be posted quite as quickly. I have most of the remainder written, but I keep finding little details that I have to go back to previous chapters to fix. So I want to completely finish writing the story before I post chapters 46-51.
Thank you to all those who have written. Please keep writing! It always makes my day and encourages me to write when I find email in my inbox!
P.S. For those wondering, the actual wedding takes place in chapter 48... so I'm afraid you'll have to wait a little while!

The flight to Vegas got us into the hotel just after one. Fortunately there was no rehearsal. The guys just had to get to the arena early for a quick sound check. I thought about trying to write vows again, but decided I would wait. It wouldn't be fair to Brian if I had vows written out, and he only had part of a day to decide what to say. Instead, I spent the time enjoying the craziness that is Las Vegas.
Chapter 45 - Scott
After the two Las Vegas concerts, Brian and I packed our carry-on bags again for our trip to Kentucky. Before we left early the next morning, Howie gave us a folder with twenty-five potential apartments, penthouses and condominiums for us to look at. His friends had faxed all the pertinent information about location, security, size, amenities and cost. A floor plan was also included. We took the folder with us, deciding to look through them while we were in Kentucky.
I was relieved that Brian's family already knew about our plans. I figured some of them would still have questions for me, but I wasn't worried. I was still looking forward to the visit because I would have a chance to finalize the plans for Christmas Eve.
The flight went quickly as Brian and I did a preliminary run-through of the 25 potential places. We quickly eliminated about five because we felt they were not secure enough. For the rest, we decided to individually read each of the files, and rate them. Then we would compare which ones we rated best and look at those ones more closely.
It was nice to see Harold and Jackie waiting for us at the airport. I hadn't seen them since the summer.
"Mom! Dad!" Brian greeted them, quickly giving his mom a hug before moving on to hug his father.
"Hi Jackie," I said, kissing her cheek and giving her a hug.
"Scott, its good to see you," she said sincerely.
I smiled and moved to Harold. "Hi Harold," I greeted Brian's Dad, shaking his hand.
"Good to see you both," Harold said with a smile.
"Let's get going," Jackie said, leading the way to the car.
Harold opened the trunk for our bags, then everyone got in the car, the elder Littrells in the front, Brian and I in the back.
"So how have things been going?" Jackie asked as she turned slightly in her seat.
"Great Mom," Brian answered. "The tour has been going well, but we're all looking forward to some time off. We're looking forward to being here over Christmas too. Also, Scott and I were up to Toronto on the weekend to visit his family," he added.
"Oh?" Harold commented. "And you told them about your plans?"
Brian and I nodded. "We thought it was only fair to talk with them the way Brian talked with the rest of his family. We wanted them to have as much warning as possible," I said.
"How did they react, Scott?" Jackie asked me.
"They are okay about it," I said truthfully. "I mean I think even though Brian and I told them what they can expect, until some of it actually happens, its hard to imagine," I tried to explain.
Jackie and Harold both seemed to understand and nodded. "That's true Scott. I know we were shocked when we found people trying to dig up our lawn just because we were Brian's parents," Harold added.
"If any of your family have questions or concerns Scott, feel free to have them call us," Jackie said. "We know some of the pitfalls of having a celebrity in the family. Even though this won't be quite the same, we still might be able to help."
I smiled. "Thank you Jackie and Harold. I'm sure my folks will appreciate the offer," I said sincerely.
For the rest of the drive to the farm we chatted about a variety of things from the unseasonably cold weather to a brief debate over politics. The more time I spent with Jackie and Harold, the more I liked them.
Once at the farm, Jackie let Brian and I settle into our room, letting us know they were having a late lunch just after one. Brian and I flopped down on the bed, tired from the late night followed by our early morning.
Brian rolled over on top of me and wiggled to get comfortable. "Mmmm, this is nice," he murmured.
I put my arms around him and just held him. "Maybe after lunch, Jackie and Harold wouldn't mind if we come back up here and have a nap," I suggested.
Brian raised his head and softly kissed my mouth. "Just a nap?" he asked, raising his eyebrows.
I gently swatted his butt. "Does your mother realize what a dirty mind you have?" I asked with a grin.
Brian smirked and wiggled against me so I could feel the beginning of his erection. "You've never complained before," he commented and wiggled more.
I couldn't stop from groaning. I tried to glare at him, but he smiled innocently. "Am I going to have to punish you again?" I asked.
Brian pretended to be terrified and quickly jumped off of the bed and me. "Oh, no! Not that Scott!" he pleaded, all the while wearing a big grin on his face.
I rolled off the bed and started stalking towards him. "I think you need to be taught a lesson about teasing, young man," I said, trying to sound serious, and not laugh.
Brian giggled and raced out of the room. "You can only punish me if you catch me!" he called.
Now that was a challenge! I raced after him and followed him down the stairs, along the hall and into the kitchen.
Brian ran over behind his dad. "Save me Dad," he begged from behind his father.
I could see Jackie and Harold looking at us like we were crazy. I winked at Harold and he grinned.
"What do I need to save you from, son?" he asked with a serious tone.
"Scott wants to punish me," he explained, keeping his eyes on me, grinning the entire time.
"Oh? And what did you do Brian?" Jackie asked, getting into the game.
"Nothing! Honest!" he pleaded.
"He teased me mercilessly," I told them gravely.
"Ah." Harold reached behind himself, grabbed Brian and thrust him towards me. "Then the punishment is obviously deserved." I grabbed Brian by the arms and pulled him to me. "I'm happy to see you are taking charge of him Scott. He always was such a wild child," Harold added.
Brian looked stunned that his father had given him up to the 'enemy'. I held him close. "I promise he'll receive a punishment he won't soon forget," I vowed.
I turned around and escorted Brian out into the hall. Then I pushed him gently against the wall and proceeded to ravage his mouth until we were both breathless and Brian couldn't remember his name.
I pulled back to look at him. I couldn't believe how gorgeous he looked with pink-tinged cheeks, red, slightly swollen lips, messy hair and glazed eyes. Satisfied with my work, I took him by the hand and led him back into the kitchen and over to a chair. Harold was already sitting at the table. I kissed Brian's cheek and walked over to where Jackie was.
"Anything I can help you with, Jackie?" I asked with a smile.
She glanced over at her stunned son and shook her head before looking at me. "No, I think you've done your job for the day!"
I laughed and Jackie joined in. I did carry a tray of sandwiches over to the table while she brought the crock-pot full of homemade vegetable soup with her.
We had an enjoyable meal, even though Brian barely spoke more than 'please' and 'thank you'. The dazed look on his face only started to fade as we finished the meal.
Before I could even ask Jackie if she needed help, she pushed us out of the kitchen. "Go on, get! Why don't you two go have a nap? You both look tired," she said with a twinkle in her eyes. "Dinner will be around seven," she added. I didn't need to be told twice.
I pulled Brian back up the stairs and into our bedroom, making sure the door was locked behind us.
I walked up behind him and wrapped my arms around his chest, leaning down to rest my chin on his shoulder. "How you doing, Love?" I asked softly.
He covered my arms with his own and leaned back against me. "I hope you don't plan on kissing me like that on a regular basis or I'll turn into a blubbering idiot," he commented.
I kissed his ear. "I think you're safe. I'll just keep those kisses for when you really need to be punished," I whispered.
He turned in my arms and wrapped his hands around the back of my head. "Well, maybe you could surprise me once in a while too," he suggested. "Otherwise, I might be bad all the time," he added.
I laughed and grasped his butt, lifting him up. He wrapped his legs around me and I walked us over to the bed. I gently laid him on the bed and lay down on top of him. I leaned up on my elbows and stared down at him.
"Surprise!" I said softly as I leaned down to kiss him again.
We quickly lost ourselves in each other, forgetting everything but our own pleasure and giving pleasure to one another.
When I came back to myself, I glanced beside me and found Brian fast asleep. The blankets had been kicked to the end of the bed and I could see him shivering slightly. I carefully got off the bed and pulled the blankets up to cover him.
I glanced at the clock and found we'd been asleep for a couple of hours. I pulled some clothes on and quietly left the room, letting Brian sleep. He needed all the rest he could get for the remaining concerts.
I walked to the end of the hall and noticed Harold in the office on the phone. I smiled and he waved. Downstairs I found Jackie in library going through some papers. She looked up and smiled when she heard me walk in.
"Hi Scott," she greeted me. "Just working on some things for Brian's heart charity," she explained the papers.
I smiled. "Don't let me interrupt," I said.
She shook her head. "It's okay. I'm just verifying some things." She sat back against the couch. "So did you wear him out?" she asked.
I know I blushed, deeply. Jackie laughed softly. "Actually I just want him to get as much sleep as he can. The schedule is hectic enough, but we've made it worse by taking these side trips," I explained. Jackie nodded. "I was wondering how the plans are going?" I asked.
Jackie smiled. "I think I have things under control. We've booked a block of rooms at the hotel for your family and any other friends you want to invite. Just give them the hotel name and tell them to say it's for the Waters' gathering. I used your name to prevent the press from finding out." I nodded. That made a great deal of sense. "And Harold and Junior are going to go out to the cabin a couple of days before you arrive to fix things up and stock it." She added. "I was wondering about decorations though?" she continued.
I'd been thinking about that. "Well, I want it to be a celebration. That is what it is all about, right? So I was thinking about some balloons, flowers and streamers. Definitely nothing gaudy, and not too many. But something classy like, white and black balloons, white streamers. I'm not sure about flowers, but I'm sure you can pick out some pretty ones," I added.
Jackie laughed again. "I'm sure I can manage. Did you have anything in the way of food you wanted?" she asked me.
I shook my head. "Not really. You know what Brian likes and doesn't like. Its doesn't matter to me. I just want our friends and families to enjoy it, and witness our commitment." I shrugged. "The rest is just 'stuff'. Do you know what I mean?"
Jackie nodded. "I do Scott. I'll take care of things. It will be tasteful and elegant, but not stuffy. Just like you and Brian."
I laughed. "I'm not so sure I have the elegant part. But I guess I am tasteful since I chose Brian," I commented.
Jackie grinned. "I think you have the elegant part down. I think you are a really classy man, Scott," she said sincerely. I blushed again. "And that blush is so cute," she added with a laugh.
I stood up, planning to return to Brian. Then turned back to Jackie. "Oh, what about the rings?" I asked.
Jackie started collect the papers spread over the table. "I've been promised the rings will be here on time," she said.
"Thanks Jackie, for all of your help," I said sincerely.
Jackie looked up and smiled. "It truly is my pleasure Scott. How many mothers get to plan their son's wedding?" I grinned and walked back upstairs to our bedroom. Brian was just starting to wake as I walked into the room.
I lay back down beside him and he moved over to drape himself on me.
"Where were you?" he asked sleepily.
I kissed his hair. "Just downstairs. I woke up a little while ago, but didn't want to wake you," I explained.
Brian rolled onto his back and stretched. "Mmmm. What time is it?"
I looked over at the alarm clock on the bedside table. "Just after five," I told him.
He moved onto his side and snuggled against me, putting his head on my shoulder. "'Kay." I thought he was falling back asleep. "I wish we had time to go out to our cabin," he murmured.
"Me too," I agreed, stroking the smooth skin of his back with my fingers.
"Maybe we can spend a couple of days there after Christmas," Brian suggested.
I smiled, knowing that was exactly our plan. "Sounds good to me."
A few minutes later Brian rolled over and pushed himself up. He walked towards the bathroom and I watched the smooth creamy flesh of his butt. He stopped and looked back at me. "Join me in the shower?" he asked softly.
I grinned and jumped off the bed. My clothes dropped to the floor as I quickly followed him into the bathroom.
After our shower, we dressed and went downstairs to find Harold and Jackie. I brought the folder of potential homes with me. I thought Jackie and Harold might like to see what places we were looking at, and perhaps offer comments since they had bought a number of homes during their lives.
The four of us sat around the kitchen table talking about the positives and negatives of each place. When the doorbell rang, a couple of hours later, we had compiled a list of our top ten choices. Brian's parents had some good insights that helped us make our choices.
Harold went to answer the door while Jackie checked the dinner. A few seconds later, Harold returned with Harold Junior and Ann Richardson, Kevin's mom.
Brian and I greeted both of them. Although I hadn't had a chance to get to know either of them well, they had always made me feel like part of the family.
The six of us sat down to a wonderful meal of roast chicken, baked potatoes and mixed vegetables. It was simple but delicious. We talked about plans for the upcoming break. Ann asked if we knew what Kevin was planning. It was hard not to mention Sheri, but I knew Kevin wanted to tell his Mom himself.
"I don't think I told any of you about the interview we're doing," Brian mentioned as we sat around the table after dinner drinking coffee or tea. "We're planning on doing an interview with Oprah Winfrey, on the 28th, here," he added and looked at his parents.
"Oprah? That is impressive," Ann said.
Jackie and Harold nodded. "Very. Nice of you to tell me," she added with a grin.
Brian blushed. "Sorry Mom, but I sort of forgot. Been busy thinking about other things. Is it okay?"
Jackie nodded again. "Of course Brian. I can either leave the place for you and Scott, or I could stay and provide coffee and snacks. Whichever you like," she added.
Brian looked at me. "I think we'd like you to stay," he said and I nodded in agreement. Having Jackie would be helpful too if Oprah wanted to verify that we had family support.
"Where were you going to do the interview?" Harold Sr. asked.
Brian and I looked at each other. "We hadn't really thought that far," I replied.
Brian thought about it then grinned. "Upstairs office?" he suggested.
I thought about it. That room did have some of our history, from Brian secretly watching me arrive the first time I visited, to our argument after shopping. I smiled to myself as I remembered the time we'd tried to make love there and were interrupted by the phone. "Perfect," I said aloud.
After helping Jackie clear the table we all went into the living room and talked late into the evening. Eventually both Brian and I began to yawn so we excused ourselves and walked up to bed.
I woke up when Brian started to gently kiss me. "Morning Angel," he greeted me, adding another kiss to my lips.
I smiled and stretched before wrapping my arms around his back. "Morning Love," I murmured.
Brian tucked his head under my chin. "Mmmm, as nice as this is, Mom has breakfast almost ready," he said softly.
I sighed. "And then we have to get going in order to get the flight to Seattle," I added.
Brian raised his head and looked at me. "Yeah, but just think, only two more concerts then six weeks for us!" he said enthusiastically.
I had to grin and lean forward to kiss him. "I can't wait!" I rolled him over and we both got off the bed. I grabbed some clothes and pulled them on. "We can clean up after we eat," I suggested. Brian nodded and together we went downstairs.
After a large, wonderful breakfast, Brian and I only had time for quick showers in two different bathrooms before we had to jump in the car so Harold Sr. could take us to the airport. We both thanked Jackie for having us and kissed her before we left.
After our hugs and 'goodbyes' to Harold at the airport, we settled down for the long flight to Seattle. It was going to take nearly six hours, putting us in the city in mid afternoon. Brian had managed to get out of rehearsal and sound check, so once we landed we went directly to the hotel.
Brian crashed, trying to get in some extra sleep before the concert. I hung out in the common room that had been set up and waited for the guys to get back.
It wasn't long before I heard them stomping down the hall.
"Hey guys!" I said in a loud whisper as I stuck my head out of the room.
"Hi Scott!" Nick greeted me.
"Brian is sleeping, and I wanted to talk to all of you for a minute," I said.
The four singers followed me into the room and Howie closed the door.
"What's up Scott?" AJ asked.
"Well, a few days ago, I had an idea, and have been working on it ever since," I began. They looked intrigued. "I was talking to Jackie about Brian and I having a commitment ceremony at the farm at Christmas," I told them. They looked stunned. "Brian doesn't know though! I want to surprise him, but of course I want all of you guys there too," I added.
Nick burst into laughter and I looked at him strangely, unsure about what was so funny. The others were looking at him too.
"Nick?" Kevin said seriously.
Nick looked at Kevin and then looked at me, losing his smile. "Sorry Scott," he apologized. "It's just… its…its hard to picture Brian as married," he managed to say.
I was a little surprised. "Do you think he won't like the idea?" I asked, suddenly concerned my plan would backfire.
Nick immediately shook his head. "No. I know he will love the idea, Scott. I'm sorry I laughed. I think it's a great surprise and I know Brian will definitely be surprised, but in a good way!" Nick added.
I was relieved. If anyone knew what Brian's hopes and dreams were, aside from me, it would be Nick.
"Great. Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know. The ceremony will be Christmas Eve." I gave them the information about the hotel. They each promised to be there. I returned to my room and crawled on the bed with Brian, deciding to nap until the alarm went off.
