Send Me An Angel Chapter Nine By Sophie V. (wind_phoenix@hotmail.com)
One week had passed... Brian was now completely recovered from his injuries, which had made everyone happy, especially Nick. JC and Justin had came back from their holidays and are now just resting at their house. In a few weeks, it would be Christmas time. Because of the fight which happened a few weeks ago, Brian and Nick weren't able to see their parents. It had been decided that they would spend Christmas all together at Brian's parents' house. Brian and Nick had also decided to tell them about their relationship when everyone would be there. "Merry Christmas, mom, dad, grandma, Bobbie, Leslie, Angel and Aaron. I'm gay." Whispered sarcastically Nick as he looked at the garden through a window in the living room. Brian, who had just entered in the room at this moment, heard him. "What's wrong, Nick?" he asked. "Nothing, it's just... it would be weird that we're gonna tell our families that we're together... and engaged." "Yeah, but I don't worry too much... for my family, at least." He said as he put his arm around his waist. "Why?" asked Nick "They're very religious and..." "Nick, they know that I love guys." Brian blurted out. He looked at him and saw his shocked face. "What?! But... how?!" "Well, a little before we did our tour with *NSync, we came back to our family and during a dinner I told them that I was gay." Nick said nothing so he continued. "They said that they were glad that I confirmed what they thought. They said that they saw the look I was giving at several guys but they weren't sure if it was attraction or just a simple look." "And they accepted?" Nick's voice sound a bit annoyed to Brian but he continued. "They said that if I find a guy that will make me happy, they'll be happy for me." "But... why did you lie to me?" "I didn't..." "Yes you did!" said Nick, getting angry. "No, Nick! I said that they didn't know about us, not that they didn't know about me." "It doesn't change a thing!" said Nick, walking in the living room "I'm here, worried sick about it and you... you said that your family already knew!" "Nick..." "Brian... we're together for, what, four months, we're engaged, and you tell me now, that your family already know that you're gay!" "Nick..." "Why didn't you tell me sooner?!" he asked angrily. "I'm sorry..." said Brian, sighing "I know I should have told you sooner..." "Then, why you didn't?" "I don't know..." said Brian, shrugging "Honestly, I don't know... I'm sorry, babe." "Brian, our relationship is based on love and trust..." said Nick "You didn't trust me, or... I have no reason to trust you?" "Nick, I love you!" said Brian as he walked toward him "I'm sorry but please, this isn't so important..." "Brian, I was worried about your family too!" said Nick, sighing "You should have told me sooner..." "I'm sorry, baby..." said Brian as he put his arms around him "I promise you, I won't keep anything from you." "Promise?" "Promise..." whispered as he kissed him. They kissed for a few minutes or so when Brian broke it. "I must make our meal..." he whispered "I'll make you a great one." "As always..." said Nick "And don't forget a great dessert too." "You'll have it... twice." Brian whispered in his ear before he walked in the kitchen. Nick just grinned and plopped down on the couch. Just as he was about to have a nap, he heard a knock on a window of the room. He raised his head and saw nothing. He frowned and closed his eyes. Then, he heard another noise. This time, it was two knocks. "What's the hell?" he whispered as he looked at the window but saw nothing. He got up and looked through it... nothing. "What is it?" he said as he turned away. This time, he heard the noise three times. Three knocks on the window behind him. He turned and quickly opened the window... but still saw nothing. He closed it and walked away from the room. As he walked toward the stairs, he heard the noise four times. "Shit..." he whispered as he ran up the stairs. He entered in the bedroom, opened the door of the balcony and looked at the garden. There was nothing. As he entered in the bedroom and closed the door, he heard five knocks on the other window of the room. He looked at it and saw nothing. "I don't like that..." he said. He walked toward the glass closet, opened it, opened the glass box and took the Angel's knife from it. "I thought it was over..." he whispered as he ran down the stairs. As he walked in the living room, he heard Brian calling him from the kitchen. "Honey, you're alright? Why are you running like that?" "Nothing, Bri. I just want to go out quickly before lunch." He lied. "Oh, okay." He said, "Don't go for too long." "I only go in the garden, don't worry." Nick said as he opened the sliding door and walked outside, closing it behind him.
Justin walked in the garden and sighed contently. It wasn't hot outside, but not cold either. Everything was fine. He hadn't made any nightmare and nothing bad happened since the dream, a week ago. He still didn't understand it but he didn't care anymore. "A good day..." he said, sighing contently. "Yeah, it is." Said someone as arms surrounded him from behind. Justin smiled and turned around. "Better with my Joshy poo..." he said as he kissed him. "As always..." said JC as he hugged him tightly. They just stayed like this and Justin closed his eyes, letting JC slowly rocking him. A few minutes passed as the lovers stayed like this. Then, Justin heard something. "Justin..." He opened his eyes and looked around him. He knew it wasn't his lover's voice. But he didn't know that voice. "Something is wrong, Curly?" asked JC. "You didn't hear it?" "Hear what?" "Someone was calling me." "No... Who?" "I don't know..." he said. Then, he heard his name called one more time. It was coming from a little wood, which wasn't too far from their house. "It was coming from the wood." He said. "Justin, I didn't hear anything." Said JC, confused. "JUSTIN!" the voice was strong now. As he heard it, he looked at the wood and then at JC. "Then, you heard him!" "What?!" said JC "But... I didn't hear anything, Curly." "But..." started to say Justin when the voice was calling him again. "There! You must have hear it!" "Justin, are you sure you're alright?" asked JC, worried "I heard nothing... don't tell me you hear voices!" Justin said nothing and looked at the wood. Then he looked back at him. "Look, I'm going in the wood, just to see if I didn't imagine it. I'm coming back later." "Wait, I'm coming too." Said JC. "No, I want you to stay at home." Said Justin "Don't worry, I'll be back in a few." "You're sure?" said JC, still worried. "Yes, Josh, I'm sure, don't worry." Said Justin softly as he kissed him on the lips. With that, he walked away. JC looked at him for a few minutes and walked back in their house.
Nick walked in the garden, his knife in hand. He didn't hear much noise anymore, but he was still on his guard. "Whatever it is, I'll fight it..." he whispered. Then, he saw light coming from his private beach. He slowly walked toward it but stopped as he heard a strange noise. Like some faint whispers. He frowned and hid behind a palm tree. After a few seconds, the noise stopped. He walked down the stairs, which led to the beach, and started to walk on the sand. Still, he saw nothing. Yet, he could still feel that something was wrong. He looked at his right and then at his left but there was nobody. He looked back at his right and nearly screamed at what he saw. There was a creature, which looked like a mummy, at a few feet from him. The mummy was surrounded by a bright red light and was looking straight at him. "You have fought, you fight, and you'll fight again..." it said in a deep raspy voice. "Wh... What?!" said Nick, a bit afraid "Who are you?! What do you want?!" "You'll fight, and fight again!" "What?!" "You saved your half, now you'll want to save him again!" "My half...?" "You'll be here when we'll go back, and you'll go to the first world." "What?! I don't understand..." "He'll fight you... or will he fight with you?" "Stop that!" he said angrily "Say who you are?! Who is 'he'?!" "It's your fate. You'll fight, you'll save your half, he'll fight you or fight with you... and you'll go to the first world." "The first world?! What the hell are you talking about?!" "This is your fate... you'll be there!" With that, the mummy gave a horrible scream and burned completely. Nick quickly backed away because of the warmth and looked as the mummy, which continued to burn while screaming until it was only a heap of ashes. He slowly walked toward it and looked at it. He didn't know what to think or to do. What this mummy said was very confused. "The first world? My half?" he whispered, confused. Then he saw the ashes swept up by a big draft and flying over the ocean. Nick looked at that, frowning. It didn't looked normal. It was as if the ashes were voluntarily going toward the ocean. He looked at his knife and saw that the blade was bright white. Then it went back to normal. Nick knew what happened. It had shinned and he knew it was a bad sign. He put the knife on the belt of his pants and sighed. "God... again?!" he whispered. He slowly walked on the beach thinking about what the mummy said. "My half... he said I saved it and that I'll save it again." He whispered, frowning. As he thought about it, he stopped to walk. He thought he knew what he meant. He had said that he saved his other half and would save him again. Which meant... "OH MY GOD!! BRIAN!!!" he screamed as he ran back toward the house. He ran up the stairs, ran in the garden, opened the door of the living room and ran in the kitchen. "Brian!" he screamed as he took his fiance in his arms and hugged him tightly. Brian, who was quietly cooking, was taken by surprise by Nick. "Nick?! Sweetie, are you okay?" he asked, surprised. Nick released him and cuddled his face. "Are YOU okay, Brian?" he asked "Nothing bad happen while I was outside?" "No, why?" he asked. He was answered by a big huge from Nick. "Nothing... I was just worried... God, I love you so much..." "I know, Nick, I love you too." Said Brian as he hugged him "Is it about earlier? About my family? I swear, Nick, I'll never keep anything from you..." "I believe you, Brian, I believe you." Said Nick "I love you, I love you..." Brian was confused by Nick's behavior but gladly accepted his touch and sweet words. He just closed his eyes and lost himself in the arms of the man he loved...
Justin continued to walk in the small wood and soon arrived in a small clearing. He looked around him but saw nothing. There was some old tree trunk, some bushes and some puddles. "Somebody here?" he said, hesitantly. Then he saw some noise coming from one of the puddles. He looked at it and saw a form emerging from it. It took the silhouette of a human and soon, Justin saw a man, in the forty, looking at him. "Who... who are you?" he said, shocked "How did you do that?" "Your friends know me, but you don't." the man said, "I'm coming from the heaven when some of your friends joined me before you fought the devils. I'm the one who hoped that you'd win against the devil. I'm the one who used you to come toward your friends." Justin stayed quiet, trying to understand what he meant. "My friends...?" he said. "My name is Marcario Thomerow." "Marcario..." whispered Justin. Then it hit him, he knew who he was. "Oh my god... it's you!" "Yes, it's me, Justin." "There's... so much things I'd like to say..." said Justin, still a bit shocked "But first... I wanted to thank you, for giving us the powers to defeat the devils." "It's for me to thank you... but I'm not here for that..." "Really? So why are you there?" asked Justin, curious "Is something wrong?" "Yes, there's something I didn't tell you..." "Oh god, don't tell me that we didn't defeat them!" he said, worried. "It's..." started to say Marcario when Justin cut him. "Wait! If it's about a demon that we forgot to fight, then I can tell you that it's over, my friends fought him some times ago." "No, it's not that." Said Marcario "You defeat all the demons at the house... the demon you fought wasn't one from the book or from the house." "What?!" he said, shocked "But... then, what it was?" "A demon among so much other demons..." said Marcario "Something will happen in a few months." "What will happen?" asked Justin "And when?" "I don't know exactly when, but they aren't here on purpose." "Who are 'they'?" "I don't know their names but they're here for one of your friends... and for you too." "For one of my friends and me?! But... why? Why did we do?" "Do you remember the dream you had a week ago? With a tall man who brought you in some place? And something terrible happened each time?" "How do you know that?!" he said, worried "I guess it wasn't a simple nightmare." "Yes. You had something in you... something which you kept without even knowing it." "What is it?" "You can kill." "Everyone can kill." "But no one can spread death everywhere they go without having to kill someone by using a weapon." "What?" "In this last few days, each time you went somewhere, something happened." "What exactly?" "Something which caused the death." "WHAT?!" "Don't worry and listen to me." Justin gulped and nodded, very worried. What if someone dead because of him? "It only happened one time. A woman died in front of you. You didn't cause it, someone was there with you." "Who?" "It was the man you met in your dream a week ago." "What he wants?" "What you have and what your friend have." "But what exactly?" "I'm coming to this. Well, without you even knowing it, he... 'woke up' a part of what had been given to you and had caused the death of this woman." "Who is he?" he asked "A demon?" "No, it's a human... well he was a human at first." "It's very... difficult to understand..." "I know but I'm going to say what you must know." Said Marcario "A few months ago, when you fought these demons, you have been contaminated by their essence." "But when we won, it all disappeared." "Not exactly... You became a demon for a few seconds. And when the demons had been killed, the white magic hadn't totally cured your soul. You had keep the power of the demons, but not their appearance." "I have the power of these demons?!" said Justin, horrified "Oh my god! I'm cursed?!" "No, you're not. Your blood is still pure. You only had a negative power... but you're not cursed, don't worry, I know what I'm saying." "Okay..." said Justin, sighing in relief "But what can I do before I kill someone? What we must do?" "You won't kill anybody if, when the man came to see you in your dream, you refuse to fight him. Last time, he showed you what you could do... now, he'll want to fight you. And if you fight him, he'll took your power." "I guess that if he has my... 'power', it would be terrible, uh? So I must keep it, but at the same time, I must find a way to destroy it." "Exactly... but you must do it alone." "Why?" "Well... your friends could be the next victims." "You must tell me more, please. I need more information's." "I can't tell you more for the moment." He said, "I'll tell you more later. And remember, you mustn't tell your friends about it." "Okay." Said Justin "When I'll have your help?" "In a few weeks." "Only?!" "Don't worry, it won't happen until several months. " said Marcario "If you success, you and your friends will be definitely safe." "Okay." Said Justin "I must go, now." "Yes, and remember what I said." Said Marcario "I'll tell you what to do later." "Thanks." Said Justin, smiling a little "You help us, again." Marcario just smiled and Justin walked away. When he was out of sight, Marcario clapped two times his hands and became the man in Justin's dream. "Poor naive boy..." he said, laughing. A red portal opened behind him and he walked in it before he disappeared with it...
Somewhere in town...
In a dark room, several persons, women and men, were sitting in circle. Except two of them, all were in the thirty. All were holding hands, except one of them who put a white powder in a silver bowl. He then put a red powder in it. "Erit, erit illud profecto tempus..." he said. He was in the sixty and had a long white beard and a slim face. "Sorcerer Dave..." he said as he gave the bowl to the person next to him. "The three worlds will have their gates opened for the battle of the fates..." he said, as he took some blue powder from a bowl in front of him and gave it to a woman next to him. "Sorcerer Ashley..." said the old man. "Each world have their soldiers... Each one will fight for the victory... each victory will open to a different fate for each being living in each world..." she said as she put white powder. The three different powders made a spiral in the bowl. Then she gave it to the younger of them. "Sorcerer Lance..." said the old man. "The shadows from the third world will cover the two worlds without the weapon of the victory..." said the blond boy as he put the bowl in the center of a white sun, which was drawn at the center of the room...
