Gay

This is the first story I've ever written, I wrote it over the summer of last year and my writing skills have grown immensely. Although this is my first story I've wrote, I have published other stories on here and am currently working on one. Under the high school section, I have the One or the Other, which is a current project; Hayden's Story; and GAvin's Got Game. Under the college section, I have The After Party. The latter three stories all contain sexual content.

Tyler got off of Jen and tried to explain what was going on. I didn't want to hear it so I ran off. Thankfully no one was in the front yard so no one saw me run. How could they do this to me? I thought we were friends. They know I would've been supportive of them.

I soon found myself at the park. It was the same place I met Jen when we were little. I was playing in the sandbox when she came up and asked me if she could play with me because she thought my toys were cool. I was shy then so I gathered up all my toys and gave them to her. She giggled and sat in the sandbox with me. She told me she wanted to play with me, not my toys.

Ever since then, excluding the whole Cole thing, she's been there for me. No matter what either of us did we were there for each other. I also remember the time when we were dating and we came here on our first date. I thought it would be romantic to go where we first met. I remember telling her everything about myself. She told me everything about her too. Our night ended with both of us receiving our first kiss and our first `I love you'.

I sat down on the bench and just stared. From here I could see the sandbox and I could see the maple tree where we had our first kiss. It's funny how the thought of me kissing Jen doesn't bother me but any other girl would be too weird. A few people with their kids passed by. The kids wanted to play in the sandbox but their mothers' wouldn't allow them because they would get dirty.

I also saw a few kids that I was acquaintances with at school. I said hi and they would say hi back, but they didn't sit down and ask me what was wrong. Obviously no one would. I'm THAT gay kid that sleeps around with everyone.

I felt a tap on my shoulder. When I looked up, it was Jen. I could see Tyler off in the background. "I knew you would be here. You always came here when you were scared or sad." She said as she sat down.

"If you knew where I was at all along then why didn't you get here earlier?"

"I had to think of what to say first. We both know I'm bad with words."

I half smiled at her, but soon when back to a frown. "Why didn't you tell me that you and Tye are together?"

"I remember when we had our first kiss. Your mom was so excited. She even wanted me to call her mom." She laughed. "You don't even count that as your first kiss do you?"

"Not really. We're best friends, Jen, and I'm gay. If I was straight it would be a whole different story. And you didn't answer my question."

"Tye and I have been dating for about a week now. I didn't want to tell you because I was scared. Lots of people at school say I wanted Cole that way. That I was asking for it." This was the first time she's said his name. "I just got you back in my life, Shawn. I didn't want you to think I'm a whore like everyone else."

I scooted closer to her and hugged her. "You're not a whore, Jen. You're my best friend and always will be. You know if you told me about you and Tye right off, I could have teased you guys about for a long time now."

She smiled. "I know you too well. You would be so supportive and all lovey dovey. It would be as if you were dating him."

"I remember when we first met. Do you?"

"Yeah. You shared your toys with me. I'll never forget how cute I thought you were. You had long hair so I thought you were a girl at first."

I laughed. "Well buddy, I think it's time you shared your toy with me." I pointed at Tye. "I can't get the gay version but I'll sure as hell take a bite out of that."

It was her turn to laugh. "Sorry babe but he's all mine. But don't worry, Tye and I will hook you up with someone."

"Knowing Tye this dude will be as slutty as they get."

"That's impossible Shawn. You can't date yourself." She started laughing. I don't know what I would do without this girl.

I motioned for Tye to come over. When he was finally over, I had to ask them something. "Could you two please announce to everyone that you're a couple? You know I would spill the beans if you don't."

Tye looked at Jen. "I'm ready to if you are."

She shook her head up and down. "We were thinking about doing it today while everyone was eating but right after you announced you were single, it would have been a bitchy thing to do."

"Yeah. We're sorry for not telling you." Tye added.

"I'm surprised you've been this quiet about it, Tyler. You've been letting us pick on you for being Mr. Lonely for a while now."

"I'd take a thousand jabs at my ego for Jen." He smiled at her. "I really do like her, Shawn. There's no way I could pass it off as a crush anymore." They were staring into each other's eyes. I was about to get sick.

"Just go ahead and kiss each other!" I shouted at them. Tyler shrugged and pulled her into him. They shared the sweetest kiss I've seen for a straight couple. After we talked a little more about their secret dates and shit, we decided to head back to the party. When we got there, Noah ran up and hugged me. He said he was worried about me because I never came down. He went looking around the house and saw I was gone and thought something happened.

"I'm okay, Noah. I just was shocked about something and had to go on a little walk."

"What was it?" Blake asked. The people who Drew invited over were gone and it was just the 11 of us, Natalie left too.

"Well," Tyler started to say. He grabbed Jen's hand. "Jen and I are dating." Everyone started to clap for them. Even Drew. Here I thought he was only hanging around to get with Jen.

Soon the party was going again and everyone was enjoying themselves. Since I've gotten back, Noah hasn't left my side. He's scared I'll "run off" again.

"Hey Shawn." Tommy said as he came up to me with Jay at his side. "How's it going? I haven't really been able to talk to you since I got here."

"I'm better now. Oh yeah! Jay, this is Noah and Noah, this is Jay." They shook hands and said hi to each other.

"You two should go on a double date with us." Jay said. "I know it would be a little awkward but I've never been on a double date with another gay couple."

"Umm, we're not dating." Noah said. We both started to blush.

"No way! I just thought that since you two were holding hands when we ate and the way Noah hugged you when you came back... are you guys sure you're not dating?"

We laughed. "We're just very close friends. It's nice to have a gay friend that you don't fuck." I said.

"Yeah. It is." Tommy said. He was looking at his feet.

"Umm, could Tommy and I talk alone for a while? It's kinda important."

"Yeah, sure." Jay said. Jay kissed Tommy. "Come on Noah, let's go convince Blake and Tye to cook some more. I don't know about you but I'm hungry again."

They both left Tommy and I alone. He looked somewhat embarrassed. "I'm so sorry, Shawn. I had to accept it. I was tired of being alone."

"It's okay, Tommy. I should've guessed you were going to move on. I feel like such an ass for dragging you along."

He looked up at me. "You didn't drag me along, Shawn. I wanted to wait for you. But I recently felt like you were over me and I'd never have you again. I still love you though. I'll probably never quit either."

"I know what you mean Tommy. I love you too." We were both quiet. Nothing was said between us. The next thing I knew his lips were on mine. It was a quick kiss. But still, it was a kiss.

"I want to see where things go with Jay." I nodded. "I just wanted to get what I was waiting for, for four months." We both smiled.

"I know what you mean. I think I'm going to try the single thing once more. It doesn't sound that bad now that I have the most awesome group of friends."

"Shawn?"

"Yeah?"

"Are you okay with me and Jay dating?"

"Like I said, I love you. And if dating him makes you happy then that's what you do." We smiled at each other once more. We were soon outside talking with everyone while Blake and Tye started the grill again. The elephant in the room was finally gone.
