Hey guys. This is my first shot at writing, but I thought it turned out ok. M I would really like some feedback on this. Let me know...does it suck, is it good, is it so bad I should kill myself, should I keep writing??? I NEED TO KNOW!!! I've read a lot of stories on here, and almost never E-mailed. Let me tell you, E-mail is the best thing.

I want to thank Adam who read this ahead of time, and also all of the other writers reading this...each and every one of you made me realize that I wanted to write. So, now I am going to shut-up and let you get to the story. ENJOY!

The usual warning. If you are under 18 and shouldn't be reading...don't. Now, as if that will made you leave. This story is fiction and not meant to imply anything about the true sexualities of any of the celebrities mentioned.

Steven and Brian Chapter 1

"Thank you. Have a nice day."

"You too." It was a beautiful morning in Houston. The air was crisp and cool, thanks to the cold front that had just swept through the area. There were very few mornings like this here. When I woke up, I decided that I should do a little shopping for some upcoming birthdays. I was in a small town that had been turned into some small, privately owned stores. It was still early in the morning so, as expected, there were still very few people walking up and down the sidewalks. I simply stood outside the small shop and took in the scene around me. The leaves had just begun to litter the ground around the large oak trees from which they had fallen. Nearby the set of railroad tracks was empty, but I knew that in the next half hour, a large train would pass by this small town drawing people young and old to gather as spectators. They would allow themselves to enjoy the little, less complicated things in life, temporarily forgetting their busy lives. I approached my car and popped the trunk, placing my bags in the trunk. I decided since I had no place to be, and this was ideal weather for a walk, I would do just that. I began to wonder down the sidewalk, thinking about my life and clearing my head. I thought about my parents. I can still remember that day in school when I got pulled out of my class to learn that my parents had been killed when someone lost control of their car on the interstate, and slammed into them, killing all parties involved instantly. That year in high school, I had found myself pulling away from my parents more and more. We were just so different. Both my parents had good jobs, and so I was well taken care of, and in no financial jeopardy for a long time. Luckily I had learned how to play the stock market, and was able to keep myself in the house that my parents had left me, and still had plenty of money left over to do anything that I wanted really. I missed my parents a lot, but I continued on. I continued walking, soaking up all that was around me. The sun was now shinning brightly over head and small rays peaked through the trees, brightening my day just a little more. As I continued walking, I noticed a figure in between two of the little shops, knees pulled to their chin, slowly rocking back and forth. My first instinct was to leave the person alone. Growing up in a large city, you learn to be careful, and not interact with those that you do not know. As I got closer I observed this person was not much older than myself, and was dressed rather like me in a nice shirt and cargo pants. Not one of those people who I thought would be so desperate for money that they would try to pull anything, but you never know. As I came even closer, I decided to take the chance and walked in between the two small buildings. I walked up next to him and got down on the ground next to him. This poor guy was so out of it, I don't think he even realized I was there. This guy was good looking, even in his condition. I estimated around 25, on the short side (me being over six foot), with slightly curly, light brown hair. Then suddenly I realized who this was...Brian Littrell. I was shocked. He was the last person I had thought I would ever meet. I remember thinking how famous people never seemed to really be people, just bodies who were thrown into public with a face that everybody knew. But here was Brian, sitting on the clod, cobblestone sidewalk, crying his eyes out. I admit, I was excited, but seeing him in his current state kept me silent for the moment. Brian still didn't see me through his puffy eyes and tear stained face. I was about to cry, the sight was truly saddening. How was I going to calm him down and get him to tell me what was troubling him so much so that he didn't get scared and run off? I placed my hand on his shoulder, and his reaction surprised even me.

Brian jumped up with a shout. He saw me and turned around to run, only to trip over an unseen box someone had left out for trash day. I got up and sat down next to the man sprawled out on the cold ground, fresh tears appearing on his face, and sat him up. I simply sat there and held him for almost ten minutes before he finally calmed down, pulling away from me, wiping his eyes.

"I am so sorry about that."

"No problem man. I was walking by and decided that you looked like you could use someone to help you out a little bit."

"Well, thanks. Although I am very embarrassed...crying in someone's arms like a five year old and getting their shoulder so wet it looks like they dumped a glass of water on it."

"Well, the shirt will dry. A small price to pay for helping someone in need"

"Thank you so much for doing that. I mean you don't even know me. Do you?"

The last was posed as a question, and I chuckled inwardly at his attempts to figure out if I knew who he was. I wasn't going to let him know that I did that easily.

"Not really, but that's OK. Where would we be if we had nobody to look after us?"

"Well, I don't know about you, but I would probably still be sitting here crying alone."

"Well, now your not. Anything you want to talk about?"

"NO! No! I mean, no, nothing." He spoke his body going rigid. Well, that could be classified as a less than positive reaction. I guess I shouldn't press. Although he would feel better if he talked about it. Whatever it is.

"You sure?" It looks like you could use someone to listen, and here I am. You'll feel better if you talk about it. I have anywhere to be, it's Saturday." I looked at his face and saw the struggle that was going on inside his mind. Part of him wanted to blurt it all out, yet, the other part told him not to tell anybody.

"I don't know. I don't even know you...and...well, I don't want you to hate me or anything after I told you...and, I mean, I don't even know if I can trust you. We just met and..."

I could see this was going nowhere. "Tell you what, I didn't have breakfast, and you look like you could use a shower." I said motioning towards his appearance. He looked at himself and admitted that a shower would be great.

"What hotel are you staying at while in town?"

"Is it that obvious I don't live around here? I...um...oh I feel dumb. I don't know remember the name of the hotel. I'm here with some friends."

I smiled inwardly 'good, he doesn't know that I know who he is.'

"Well, do you know how to reach them?"

"I do...but...I...um...I don't think I could talk to them right now."

"OK then, where is your rental?"

With a slightly embarrassed look, he explained to me that he didn't have one. I decided it was probably better not to ask how he got here. It would all come out in time.

"Well, why don't you come with me? I'll get you fixed up and get some food in you." He got a very uncomfortable look on his face, but nodded ok after a moment of silent deliberation. As we walked to my car to get in, I was wondering what could have happened between him and the guys. I had always heard that they were like brothers to each other. Once we got into the car, he got fidgety and nervous, so I decided to strike up a conversation. "By the way, my name is Steven."

"Brian." He said flashing a smile that could kill. For a while he was at ease and we talked about how the world was doing. Once we hit my subdivision however, he became increasingly nervous.

"Brian, relax."

"Huh?"

"I said relax. You're about to pop from nervousness. Just calm down."

"I'm trying. It's just...it's just that...um..."

"Your going into some strange man's house that you don't know and it has you freaking out. I'm not going to pull anything. Just relax."

"Thanks for understanding. I didn't want to offend you after all you have done. You can never be too sure of who to trust these days."

"I hear you. Well, here we are"

"Nice house. It's...big."

"Well, between dear old dad's inheritance, and my job, I live a comfortable lifestyle."

"I guess so."

I opened the door and waved him inside. "Which would you like first, the shower, the food, or the grand tour. You pick."

"Mind if I choose the shower?"

"Nope! Let me show you to a bathroom."

"Thanks for all of this. I know I am being a real pain in the ass."

"No such thing." I showed him the bathroom and got him some towels.

"Thanks again. I'll not take long."

"Don't worry about it...just don't use all the hot water, I might just have to tickle you to death if you did that!"

"Promises, promises!" he chuckled. Good sign. He was loosening up.

He closed the door and I went down to the kitchen to figure out what to do for brunch. A few minutes later, I hear a yell and a large thud come from the bathroom over the kitchen...

I know how much I hated it when other people made cliffhangers...but it is so fun! OK, so what did you think?
