To those who've been reading Tales of Sol. I want you to know that while there is sex in this story. That is not is sole purpose and yes I do hope the sex sense makes you all hard and gets you off.
Sol is an adaption from my childhood favorite show Captain Planet and the Planeteers, The cartoon showed us that the world can be a better place if we took a few moments to care for it.
Tales of Sol is meant to express hope.
It is also shows how music can have an impact in our lives. While I don't know if my favorite bands 98 Degrees, Backstreet Boys or Nsync have ever read this. They saw me through some of the hardest moments of my life and offered in their own way hope. To them I say thank you.
I dedicate the Tales of Sol to all of my brothers and sisters of the US armed service past, present, and future.
I like to thank my friends who I had the privilege showing these chapters with. They helped with editing and inspiration,
John Rivera, Albert-Russ Alan Rivera-Odum, Derbe.D. Hunte Yvette Ortiz Samuel Diaz Jr for all their help in Making The Tales of Sol an enjoyable story to write.
And I have a few other names starting with the beginner of this universe James the author of Tales of a Real Dark Knight. I still hope to reconnect with you dear friend and all the rest of this series.
Blake the author of Tales of a New Phoenix
Jeremi author of the Tales of Young Mutants

And now without any further ado I give you the next chapter of Tales of Sol.
The Tales of Sol 34 Fighting a Fairytale
Jake and I returned home to find Jeff and the rest of 98 Degrees waiting for us.
"What have you two been up to?" Drew asked
"Well, thanks to Jake we have confirmed that not all fairytales are works of fiction," I responded
Nick looked at us incredibly, "What does that mean?"
"It would seem there was more to the Legend of the Pie Piper then just a kids story," Jake responded
"We have confirmed that there was a real Pie Piper and he is taking all those kids to Never, Never Land," I clarified
Jeff gasped, "you mean that all those kidnappings are being done by the Pie Piper?"
Jake gave a glummed nod, "Yes and what makes it worst neither Mike or Gaia can see passed the barrier that the Pie Piper has put up,"
Justin stared wide eyed, "What is he using that can block the Spirit of the Earth?"
"It would seem that the Piper has been using some kind of protection runes to shield him from beings like Gaia," Jake answered
"The Watcher's Council has confirmed it, and it was Jake who remembered the tale of the Pie Piper that everything fell into place," I acknowledged
"That is wacky, who would have guessed that a child's story would turn out to be some real guy who really kidnapped children," Drew tried to wrap his head around the concept.
"It is really not out of the realm of possibilities that he was a real person, but I have to admit I never expected to find out nor would I have thought, I have to fight the Pie Piper," I admitted.
"Who the hell would have thought of some kids' story being real," Nick shook his head.
"Gaia told me that there was something in our fairytales and I should of known," I grumbled
"Mike, do you remember all those stories?" Jeff soothed trying to make me feel better.
"It doesn't matter we have a lunatic who has kidnapped over 300 children and I can't even breach the barrier he is keeping them in, and if we don't Jared will lose his little sister and it will be all my fault," I collapsed to the couch putting my head into my hands.
Jeff was by my side "Mike this whole thing was going on for, four months anyone could have put those kidnappings together and seen the bigger picture, you saw it in one person who lost his little sister, I have no doubt you will solve this,"
"You only just found out I am the Guardian and that I have special powers and yet you have more faith in me than I have in myself," I peered into the eyes of the man I called love.
"I have faith in you because I have seen what you can do," Jeff reiterated
"You took on those bozos at that mall and saved Nick, Justin and Drew and a whole mall full of people," Jeff spoke with certainty.
"Yeah I feel sorry for the Pie Piper Mike he has no idea what just hit him," Drew added with a smirk there at the end.
I fell back further into my couch and sighed, "I really hope your faith in me is not misguided because I don't know what will happen if Sarah is lost forever,"
"Sarah couldn't ask for a better protector," Jake firmly stated
"She has the best person looking out for her and you will make the Pie Piper regret coming to Philadelphia," Jeff backed up my shipmate's words.
After dinner we all went to bed but I wasn't able to sleep so in the dark of the night I returned to the Lair, and with everyone out of the base I decided to finish this project.
In a whirl I freed the command module from its earthly confinement. I ripped it open and began to move everything out and into their new location within the hangar. It didn't take me long to rehook the Holo-Room and moved the weapon's locker. The galley was given a new location and I created a new repair bay for the Sea Dragon and a spot for where the subway cars were going to go.
After completing the Lair's new Command Center, and reconfiguring the old entry module to house BEATTI's computer components and reactivating just to make sure I didn't lose her. My crazy computer already commented on her new location. Once all of my new arrangements were set in place. I removed the large hangar doors and permanently walling off the former entrance. I held my hand out and the ground began shaking. The hangar began to sink beneath the surface. I led the whole structure down until it was level with the silo. Using the leftover parts from the old command module I created a new passageway from the silo to the new structure that will allow us to move the Sea Dragon into the new bay I created for it. After I was sure I sealed all openings I returned to the surface where I held out my hand once again. Dirt and rocks shifted until they filled in the hole everything but the large bay windows and the roof of the old hangar were still above ground. With my hand still stretched out the dirt and rocks covered the roof but still left the windows clear. For all intents and purposes there is now just a hill here and not a top secret base.
I made my way to the subway and opened a hole in the wall and used recycled rails to create a path into the Lair so I could maintain the subway cars.
I left for the surface, grabbing the two hangar doors and placing them in the channel. They will be my new flood gates.
When I got back to the Lair I was surprised to see lights when I went back, "Funny I had have the Lair for 40 years you come with in months you come along redecorate, I must admit I love what you have done to the place," I saw Dave entering the new repair bay "What are you doing here?" I asked
"I was preparing a surprise for you," Dave explained, "unfortunately those rail cars you found were too badly deteriorated to be of any use," Dave huffed in disappointment, "but you were more than right that they were needed," Dave finally smiled, "so I made some calls and I got us a much newer pair it wasn't easy since those cars haven't been built in years, but they will make this operation more efficient," Dave directed me to the subway tunnel and before us were a pair of banged up Chicago L6000 "I was bringing these in when I noticed a new addition to this station that matched the old hangar and knew you already sunk it," Dave marveled
"I told you, I was waiting for everyone to leave, everything is ready to go and I got tired of looking gray walls so now we will have a nicely lit command center with retractable shutters to shield it from heavy weather," I informed my mentor
"I already gave the place a once over and I have to say I am very impressed and never realized how cramped the old place was getting until you made it much bigger," Dave marveled again
"I am still trouble by this whole business with the Pie Piper and this seemed better then moping around waiting for answers," I growled in frustration
"Mike the Pie Piper is not going to know what hit him and how is your energy levels?" Dave remarked and then inquired
"Surprisingly they are okay I am not at full strength but there is still plenty for me to do battle with," I answered flexing my sore muscles
"Sir you have an incoming message from the Watcher's Council," BEATTI interrupted
"Put them through," I demanded as Dave and I left the maintenance bay and returned to the newly reconstructed Command Center.
When we got there I heard whistling "And here I thought my wife was a master of redecorating," I saw Joyce on the monitor
"Oh I just used touch up paint and some spackle," I sheepishly replied
"Guardian this is a total 180 of what we saw just this afternoon," Joyce awed
"I don't think you called us in the middle of the night to marvel at my handy work," I redirected
"Yes we believe we found the solution to the Pie Piper," Joyce demeanor hardened
Dave stepped forward, "What is the plan?"
"The spell his is using is hard for our magicians to break given it complexity," Joyce admitted
"I can actually deal with the Pie Piper Joyce but I can't pass through that field he is using," I reminded him
"I mention that to Travers and we agreed that we need to do a two prong attack," Joyce explained
"What do you mean?" Dave asked
"If Mike and Dana can distract the Pie Piper we believe it will give our magicians the ability to break the spell at the very lease enough to gain you entry to the Pie Piper's realm," Joyce urged
Rubbing my chin then asked, "How long do we have to do this?"
"Our magicians agree with our assumption that we only have two or three days," Joyce explained
"The means we need to attack tonight," I growled in determination
"Mike you just did a major renovation and have yet to get any sleep you could hurt yourself if you are not careful," Dave warned me
"Dave we have 300 children out there and right now the only person who can do a damn thing about it is me. We keep saying time is growing short we must act," I countered.
"Guardian even the magicians need time to prepare the proper spell," Joyce stated
"Then tell them to get ready the Pie Piper needs to return to the realm of fiction," I grew harder and more determined with each passing moment
"We still need Dana, Mike we have not even called her back, hell neither you nor I would have been here if not for our decision to redecorate," Dave insisted
I knew he was right but the sailor in me was going to let this rest, "because of my interference we might not have three days, what would stop the Pie Piper now?"
I saw the shocked realization show up on Joyce's face when he said, "There is nothing to stop him if he chose to close his realm but if we let him think he is safe he might wait it out,"
"The Pie Piper has been safe for four months I have no intention letting that jester wait any longer," I stated firmly
"Mike go home and get a few hours rest then you can bring Jake back and we will go after the Pie Piper," Dave insisted I went to counter but Dave wouldn't let me, "Mike I promise you we will not let the Pie Piper get away but Sarah needs you to be well rested and your powers at full strength,"
I finally relented. This was as good as a time to use the newly completed subway tunnel to get home.
When I got there I saw Jake sitting on one of my couches "I wondered where you went," my Shipmate smirked
"Oh just putting the last touches on the Lair it is ready for us to move in," I remarked
"Really I can't wait to see it," Jake awed
"In a few hours I have been sent to bed but we only have a few hours before we must face a villain from our school day story time," I growled as I explained as much as we learned.
Jake had the same determined expression I had but he said, "Then get some rest Mike we have work to do and those kids need you at your best,"
Jake and I both went to bed, I crawled into bed with Jeff still resting there. When I came up to him his arms wrapped around me "Where?" He whispered
"I will tell you later but I have been ordered to rest we have kids to save," I sleepily said as I kissed his cheek
"The Pie Piper is about to face the forces of nature," Jeff whispered into my ear as he kissed me and we both drifted off to sleep. BEATTI woke me up and while I didn't feel refreshed my powers were back to full strength I heard Jeff groan "Must you go?"
"It is time the Pie Piper is going back to being just a myth," I vowed
"Mike," Jeff requested I leaned over as he put his hand behind my head and brought me in for a kiss, "Kick the loser's ass," Jeff commanded
"I will my love," I vowed, Grabbing a quick shower Jake was waiting in the living room and we took the subway back to the Lair.
Upon arrival Jake whistled "I am speechless,"
Dana was already there dressed as Razeel, "Yes I love the new look," Dana was still in awe at the much more open Command Center.
"It is what one can achieve when one has to work out frustration," I blushed
In a yawn Razeel gave me a nasty glare, "I hear you are the reason I am up this early,"
"Well you can also thank Joyce's timely call but we are out of time we much put this guy to bed," I remarked
"You will get no argument from me so let's get to it so I can get back to bed myself," Dana glared
I quickly changed and Razeel and I were onboard the Sea Dragon flying to do battle with a children's fairytale.
I suddenly started laughing. Razeel looked at me "What is so funny?"
"Razeel we are about to duke it out with a man we've all heard about at story time in kindergarten," I snickered
That got Razeel thinking, "I never like Mother Goose even then," Razeel laughed
"I just never pictured myself fighting a legend out of those stories," I shook my head in disbelief
Razeel regarded me "Guardian you get used to it, I will have to tell you about my time fighting such myths,"
Meanwhile back in England at an unseemly castle, Joyce ran to Travers "Guardian and Razeel are on their way we need to get started,"
"Very good I will pass the word," Travers acknowledged
"I can't believe we are helping this newbie," Joyce groaned
"This is the closest we ever got to stopping the Pie Piper you were there the last time," Quentin reminded his subordinate.
"Yes and if we finally rid ourselves of that lunatic I am willing to help the Guardian," Joyce admitted
"And Blaylock can also stand a little humility," Travers admitted
At that even Joyce had to agree, "Sad but true his arrogance is becoming tiresome he needs to remember he is part of a much bigger team,"
They left Travers's office to meet with their magic workers as Quentin told the magician the situation. The magician assured the Head Watcher that they are ready.
"And I got to train you in flying the Sea Dragon," I reminded myself.
That made Razeel look at the flight controls with awe, "I never even thought about it,"
"So, any ideas on how you are going to get us passed those goons?" Razeel asked
"It is going to be very elemental," I responded
Dave paced back and forth "Guardian and Razeel have reached the pier I am dropping them off now Mr Matthews," BEATTI reported
"Now it begins," Jake growled as he leaned into the console
Blaylock walked over "Travers states the magicians are working to breach the barrier,"
"BEATTI bring the Sea Dragon back I have to be there," Dave commanded
"Aren't you going to be needed here?" Jake asked
"We have no idea what Mike and Dana are going to run into over there and there are still over 300 children to think about," Dave reiterated
"We need as many people helping out as possible," Dave prompted
Turning to Blaylock "And you are coming with me," Dave demanded
"I should remain here with Mr. Morow," Blaylock countered
"I was just getting used to the old Command Center now I will have to learn it all over again," Blaylock complained
"Mike did this for your benfit Blaylock, the down side to expanding on a team is this Lair was never meant to house them, Mike did all this so we can have a bigger team," Dave laid it all out for the arrogant Watcher.
"I only wish he would have given us a say in the design," Blaylock complained
"You are a guest here Blaylock your input is from an allies perpextive nothing more," Jake stepped in now he understood what Mike was getting at with this asshole he was so into himself.
"You have been questioning Mike's abilities since you got here now you are going to see them in action," Dave said through hard eyes at the self righteous Watcher.
"It looks peaceful," Razeel sarcasitcally commented as we approached the pier
"Let's see how peaceful, we are going to shake things up," I pointed my Fighting Pike towards the pier.
From the end pointing at the pier a sound similar to Kwame's earth ring emanated followed by a green beam of energy shooting out and striking the pier. The whole place began shaking. We watched as several goons came falling out from their hiding place. "Next we give them a bath," I stated as I pointed my Pike at the river the sound typical to Gi's Water ring shot out and into the water. A wave shot out and again this time washing away all of the Piper's goons sending them down river. Razeel and I charged the pier.
Before us out pinstick friend emerged "This is the last time you get in my way you bastard," The Pie Piper whined
"That is fine with me because I have no desires to see your face again after tonight," I mocked
"Laugh while you can," The Piper sneered as more goons came out from behind him and charged us.
As soon as the first buffoon was within reach I swung my Fighting Pike catching the oaf in the shin. He went down in pain while his partner ran at me only to get a Pike across the face.
"The Guardian and Razeel have engaged the Pie Piper and his minions," BEATTI reported
"The Watcher's Council reports their magicians are breaking down the barrier Guardian's and Razeel are proving the necessary distraction," Blaylock spoke up from his monitor.
Jake snickered "It is bedtime Piper and my buddy isn't going to tuck you in either,"
"Mr Matthews the Sea Dragon has returned," BEATTI reported
Grabbing Blaylock the Phantom of the Opera stated, "We are joining them,"
Not giving the Watcher a choice the two men left to reach the CH-53C.
I smashed my Pike into the next bozo face and he went down "I'd love to fight all night but some of us would like to go to bed soon," I commented
Razeel yawned "I hope that crack wasn't made at my expense,"
"Never," I insisted, grabbing my Pike in both hands. "We can't fight these boobs all night," I said as I spun my Pike and a small gust of wind moved over the pier sending more of our dance partners into the Delaware River.
"If you could have done all this, why do you need me?" Razeel asked with a gasp as this is perhaps the first time she saw me let loose.
"This battle is just beginning Razeel, I only took out the vermin the big cheese is a different story," I reminded her
"I am just at awe I never seen you really take the offensive like that," Razeel smirked
"I am still learning how to use these powers, by the way and we still don't know what lies beyond that barrier," I reminded her.
"This is all very true," Razeel agreed
"You have a part to play in this Razeel I am counting on you to get those children while I deal with the Pie Piper," I answered
"How am I supposed to get 300 children to safety?" Razeel gasped
"We are about to find out," I answered
As several goons came our way "We don't have time to play guys," I stated as I twirled my finger a small tornado formed and picked up each ogre and this time I sent them all flying into the Schuylkill River. More goons came at us. I simply looked at the many crates and out came hundreds of rats they all jumped on to the goons. "Time to redeem yourselves little friends," as the rats ran the buffoons away from the pier.
Razeel and I continued to the distortion field. I tried to enter but it wouldn't let me pass.
In England in a secluded section of the Watcher's Castle "They are at the barrier they need to gain access," Joyce told the hooded figures
"We are working Joyce this next spell will grant them access," the hooded man answered
The magicians chanted some more.
Razeel and I made our way to the barrier and were able to enter.
