The Otherworldly Minds Saga Chapter 4

Chapter 4

I’m in the shower and it’s steamy. The mist from the water easing up all around my naked body and I can’t get him off my mind. I feel the shower pull back and there he is wearing all his clothing and not seeming to care one way or another when the shower water wets his clothing.

“What the hell are you doing in my house?”

“Thinking about you...I can’t get you off my mind either,” Cordae responds.

“Get out of here…”

He doesn’t leave. His eyes are staring at me so closely. It’s as though they engulf me completely. I feel the warmth of his body as he looks up and licks his lips slowly, and purposefully. He can have anyone in the world...in the universe actually, but he’s here with me here and now.

“You don’t want me to leave. You want me to do this,” Cordae steps into the shower clothing and all.

He’s kissing me shoving his tongue in my throat. And I give in completely to his strong kisses as he leans me against the tiled walls of the bathroom. I take in his essence in his kiss falling victim of the shivers creeping up my spine. My body is buzzing for him, so much so that I can’t resist it any longer. I allow him to kiss me taking his tongue deep to the back of my throat, letting him touch me anywhere. And he does that. He touched me EVERYWHERE. His fingers glide from the back of my neck, to my lower back and then to my ass. He gives it a firm slap, something that no man has ever done to me before.

I undress him easing him out of the wet shirt which is hard because he has all his attention focused on his wet kisses in the shower. I have him naked and pay attention to this body. This wet sexy body is pressing up against me now naked staring back. His skin is the color of sunburnt sand. His green eyes were the color of emeralds. His hair is like wool, wavy and thick on top of his head.

“My princess…” he tells me.

And this time it is a different way than he presents it. He’s not teasing me. He says it out of ownership. It’s as though I belong to him. It’s as though this princess, who ruled over trillions of souls that her father had conquered belonged only to him and him alone.

“My warrior…”

He presses my chest up against the tiles after turning me around. I peer beside me and I can see his long extension growing and hardening. It’s the most beautiful dick I could ever imagine seeing. The perfect bulbous head slides up against the sides of my ass as the veiny shaft slowly starts easing up against me.

He’s about to enter me. I know he wants to. He wants to pull me in raw. He doesn’t want anything between us. It’s been too long. Too much distance.

I’ve longed for him. Across space. Across time. The journey here was so difficult. It was so possible we wouldn’t survive and when our ship was shot out of the sky I knew it was the end.

But it wasn’t. I was here with my warrior and alive with him, showing him one more time how much I adored him.

“HURRY UP IN THE SHOWER!”

The voice breaks me out of it. This hold that I was in.

I was alone in the shower. There wasn’t Cordae. It felt though like it was real.

<You fell asleep in the shower…>

“That was a memory?”

<Yes. I’m sorry…>

“Who you talking to?”

The voice behind the door is clearly my father. Immediately I jump out of the shower. I quickly wrap a towel around my waist and open the door.

“I was just singing,” I lie.

My father gives me a weird look. I know he doesn’t believe me and I’m afraid he’s gonna think I am schizophrenic like my mother. He keeps looking at me hard but then shakes his head.

“After school tomorrow come straight home. I need you to run drills with your brother…”

“What? Why? I don’t even play football.”

That’s when he gets mad. My dad gets really mad. He puts his hand up against my chest and pushes me up against the bathroom wall. He fastens his hand around my neck and squeezes hard.

“Who you talking back to? I swear you are your mother's child.”

When he got in these moods all he saw was my mother. All he saw was the anger he felt after being abandoned by her to raise two boys on his own. It had been years since her mental breakdown but I knew he hadn’t changed.

He chokes me harder. I can feel my neck tightening and me finding it hard to breathe. I just relax as best as I can...taking it.

“No…” I urge.

I’m not talking to my father but me begging no seems to get to him anyway. He releases me letting me fall down to the bathroom floor, mouth open and gasping for air.

“Do what I say. Get home or you’ll have hell to pay after school.”

~

We are in school and I’m trying to block out the voice of the Princess who is making what happened earlier into a much bigger deal. It’s the first period and she’s still consistently asking me about my father.

<This isn’t the first time he did this…>

I shake my head. He’d done it before a lot. One time he’d choked me so hard that I lost consciousness. The whole time he was calling me Diane. He was calling me by my mother's name.

<He holds it against your mother for losing his mind, but Nairobi, you need to know that maybe your father isn’t all the way right in the head either. He is struggling mentally.>

She may have had a point, one that I couldn’t think about right now though. The truth is my father was in my life. That’s who I had to deal with. He wasn’t in the looney bin like my mother. He was here, making my life a living hell. I didn’t know what my mother had done to my father but I knew that it had to be bad. It had to be really bad.

The day goes by without a hitch. The only member of my group that I see is Jean. She makes some stupid comment asking me if everything was OK again. I knew girls like her. They liked to ask you things like that knowing that you didn’t want to talk about it. She had no boundaries for privacy. I don’t even respond to her. I just walk right past her as though she doesn’t even exist and I know it gets underneath her skin but I can’t help it. She’s beyond irritating.

It’s last period and I’m ready to meet my brother when I hear a buzzing in my ear. It’s loud. REALLY loud but it seems like no one else can hear it.

<It’s the Technician. He’s in the library.>

It’s so loud that I can’t ignore it. My head rings out in almost pain as I walk into the library and sure enough, Justin, the Technician, is sitting there with this stupid fucking device in his hand.

I slap the thing out of his hand when I realize him turning the knob on this radio-like device is what is causing the buzzing in my ear.

“What the hell is that!”

He nervously picks it up from the ground, “You broke it…no worries, it was just a prototype. I'll make another.”

“The hell you will,” I reply, still annoyed by the harsh buzzing his device was causing.

“We need a way to find each other no matter where we are.”

“How about a cellphone? I can easily just give you my fucking number weirdo.”

“He thinks the cellphones are hacked.”

“He?”

“The Technician,” he responds with a shrug, “We have been working trying to make things. Devices to make us safe. I need you to come over to my house to pick up some weapons I have designed for you.”

“I’ll pass. I’ll be fine.”

I turn back around. The less I had to deal with these people the better. Sooner or later this Princess was going to be sick of dealing with me and she'd find a mother host, maybe one as able and willing as Justin was to become a mental slave.

<He’s not a slave. He’s a friend. To us Druids, but Justin can be a friend to you too.>

“I doubt it.”

<Turn around, Nairobi. Trust him…>

I stop walking. I turn back around and sure enough, Justin is just standing there looking back at me with these wide hopeful eyes. His face says it all. He clearly is hoping I get more involved in all this alien nonsense.

He says, “If you don’t do it for me, or for your own safety then at least do it for the Princess. It’s one of the Technician’s sworn duties to keep her safe.”

“I don’t know…”

“The technician told me you might resist. He says it may have something to do with the history between the Warrior and the Princess…”

Images of the hot steamy shower scene cross my mind at that moment. The red flush of embarrassment crosses my cheeks. If Justin knew about it then Jean’s nosy ass knew about it too.

“Tell your Technician to mind his fucking business,” I curse, feeling the anxiety building up about possibly being around Cordae again.

“He won’t be there. I promise.”

I take a deep breath. The Princess wouldn’t shut up about me trusting Justin and letting him in. Out of everyone in the group, I guess he is the only one that I don’t absolutely hate being in the company of. I sigh a little bit taking a deep breath and just nodding.

“Fine, but I can’t stay long. I have to be home to help my brother with something.”

~

We take several buses to Justin’s house. It’s clear he doesn’t live in Trenchtown. I’m silently watching as we enter a nicer neighborhood. By the time we get to his building, I believe that I’m being Punk’d. We are in this high rise penthouse that looks like something out of some lavish lifestyle magazine.

We get upstairs and I’m a little blown away. Justin’s room was huge and didn't look like anything in Trenchtown at all...more like a guest suite in an Italian palace. The bed was king-sized with pure white, Egyptian cotton sheets. He had his own desk, a thirty-six-inch TV with video and DVD, a sprawling leather sofa, and, on the other side of the floor-to-ceiling windows was his own private terrace. And the bathroom! As well as the power shower, there was a bath big enough for the Trenchtown Comet football team, and a Jacuzzi. Everything is marble and handcrafted tiles. I shuddered to think how much it might cost.

“Why the hell is a rich kid going to school in Trenchtown.”

“My mother has ambitions to run for mayor of Trenchtown. She wants everyone to believe she is ‘one of the people’ which means making her kid go to Trenchtown high to get picked on every day,” He shrugs.

<Both of you have ambitious parents. It’s something you can bond over.>

I take a deep breath. It must have been nice to have all these things in this apartment but I couldn’t imagine having to go to school every day and have everyone treat me the way that people at school treated him.

“Those kids are racist assholes…”

He gives me a weird look. I don’t think that he was much expecting me to say that.

“Thanks for saying that. Well then. Let me show you all the things I made for you. Cordae is coming over tomorrow, he felt like it was best that you two didn’t come on the same day either.”

That was strange.

“What about Jean?”

Those two were extra close to the basketball game. Just then I see him smile a little bit.

“Jean came over last night and got her stuff.”

“You two seem close.”

“You think?”

His face flushed a little bit.

I laugh, “You like her.”

“Between me and you?”

“Of course.”

“Yeah,” he admits, “I really do. It’s just weird because our Druid spirits are two VERY straight men. Every time I try to get close to Jean it feels like they get a bit disgusted being near each other in that way.”

“Guess me and Cordae aren’t the only ones feeling trying to figure out this Druid spirit thing and how it fits into my normal life.”

“No not at all but this might make things a little easier. Here…”

I look down on his bed and see he has a few things laid out there for me. There was a helmet. Some sort of futuristic sword thing and then something that looked like a sword.

“The helmet is going to be used for our mission,” he explains, “It has a full face visor so it will completely disguise us so that the Upsetters won’t track us down. I’m still ironing out the details but once I’m done we can use it for communicating over long distances.”

“What happens when the Upsetters track us down…”

He clears his throat.

<After what happened with Deon, you should already know the answer to that.>

“Nevermind,” I tell him, “What are these things?”

I point to the sword and what looked like some sort of projectile laser gun that you would use to play laser tag. In the laser gun, there is some sort of translucent liquid. By the way, he grabs it away from me when so start twirling it around tells me that this definitely wasn’t a laser tag gun.

“These things are dangerous. They are Druid Weapons more advanced than anything we have here on Earth. Hit the wrong button and you can level this entire building, with us inside of it.”

“How the hell will I learn to use something as powerful as that.”

“You don’t need to know,” he tells me, “The Princess trained for 10 years for this mission. She knows how to use them—-“

Just as we are talking there is a heavy knock on the door. It isn’t just a knock actually. Someone was banging on the door in a way that almost made me think they were about ready to break the entire door down.

“You expecting someone?” I ask.

“No…”

I watch as the Princess takes control of my body. I’m out in the backseat again. She picks up the saber looking thing. She enters a few buttons on a tiny keypad on the handle of the saber and all of a sudden the whole blade sparks with fire! I watch in amazement as she swirls the saber behind her back and approaches the door with the caution of some sort of lioness. I’ve never moved so quietly before. I’ve never been so clear with my steps before.

We get close to the door. The Princess opens the door quickly, grabs the person behind the door, does this amazing somersault in the air to get to the other side of the individual and presses the flaming sword at the persons back!

“It’s me,” A familiar voice says.

It was Cordae. He wasn’t looking in good shape either.

“What the hell happened to you?” Justin asks running to the doorway with this confused look on his face.

“I was attacked,” Cordae states, “I think I was showing off too much at the game and someone noticed me. Someone figured that I wasn’t completely human. On my way from school, I was attacked. It was a whole gang of them…”

“Upsetters…” I realize.

It may not just be me but it is the Princess too. I can feel her worry as she looks at Cordae with this bulging cut across his upper thigh that is bleeding out of his jeans.

“I didn’t know where to go. I—-“

He faints at that moment. He falls right into my arms. I knew that Cordae had a car. The fact that he was willing to go all the way across town to get help from Justin as he was bleeding out instead of going right next door to get help from me shows how strained the relationship between our two families really was.

Justin shakes his head, “The Technician wants you to treat him…”

“Me?!”

“The Princess is well versed with First Aid,” he offers, “Nairobi, we can’t go to the hospital. Upsetters could be anywhere. He is going to die if he doesn’t get help.”

<Take him to the bathroom…>

“I got this…” I tell Justin, following the Princess’ lead.

Justin nods, “I’ll go circle around the building a few times and make sure he wasn’t followed.”

I nod at Justin scooping up Cordae with the strength I didn’t even know I had and taking him to the other side of the room towards the bathroom. I can see Cordae is still out of it at the moment.

He doesn’t come back until we are in the bathroom together and I’m halfway through sewing him up. I’ve let the Princess take control for the most part. I go deep into the backseat and she allows me to turn a blind eye to all the blood and gore as she fixes him up using household materials she finds around Justin’s apartment. She knows what she’s doing. It’s awkward though when he wakes up and grabs my hand.

<I’m done..you can take over…>

“No, wait!”

She’s gone. I have full control. The position she leaves me in is compromising, to say the least. His pants are gone completely. She had to cut him out of his pants to get to the wound. His underwear is gone too. He is wearing nothing but his shirt in the tub.

“You’re up. I should get you some water—-or something.”

“No wait,” he reaches out and manages to take a hold of my hand before I get clear of him. He looks slowly down at our fingertips which are all wrapped up in between one another and then he slowly says,” You saved me…”

“The Princess saved you,” I tell him.

It’s as though he doesn’t hear that. I get him a towel and throw it over his exposed midsection to hide the actually impressive size of his dick. What’s strange is that it almost looked exactly the same as I remember from the dream. He had this slight smile on his face that I have to admit is more comforting than he’d ever given me before.

“You didn’t want to save me? Not even a little bit?” He asks sitting there.

“You are wasting your time thanking me,” I assure him, “Wait what the hell are you doing? Why are you getting up! Lay back in the tub Cordae before you faint again.”

“You sound a little bit concerned about me. Is that the princess talking or you?”

I roll my eyes at that moment and try to turn away, “You’re fucking naked…”

“You’ve seen my naked body before,” Cordae states, “Don’t act like you haven’t. Don’t act like you haven’t had the dreams.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

<You’re lying.>

I couldn’t hide from her. It was like she knew my mind even without me knowing it. He stands there and drops the towel laying in front of him before muttering a quick, “Oh damn. I’m sorry…”

I get a glimpse of his dick again and by now I’m sweating getting nervous from seeing him naked over and over. I feel the weight turning on my own dick and I turn away to hide it.

“It’s OK. You’re nervous because all of a sudden you are attracted to me and you have no idea why. The same thing is happening to me…”

I’m confused, “Yeah?”

“The Warrior is longing for the Princess. However, you feel I feel a million times worse. I’ve been avoiding you at school, but it’s like every time I have an idle though you are there. Every moment is surrounded by thoughts of you—-I mean, of the Princess.”

There is an awkward distraction at that moment.

“That’s them. I let them know. You and I hate each other.”

“Whoa —-hate is a strong word. I don’t hate you. I do dislike you. I do remember you trying to turn Logan against me and cheated to win an election.”

All of sudden I remember why I can’t stand this extremely attractive man in the first place.

“Cheat? You wanna talk about cheating. You embarrassed my brother at the football game using your Druid’s abilities to outshine him. And then when I confronted you about it you lied. You’re a fucking cheater!”

“You’re a fuckin cheater!”

I don’t know how our conversation drifted into a screaming match. For some reason, Cordae is able to get underneath my skin more than anyone I know. For some reason, he’s able to piss me off so much.

I ignore the voice in my head or at least I try to but I feel the Princess taking over. I feel her turning my head for me and just at that moment, I see Cordae fighting the urge to turn towards me too.

“He’s a fucking asshole...stop making me do this,” Cordae mutters underneath his breath.

He’s clearly talking to the Warrior. It doesn’t matter because nonetheless, our spirits were in love with each other and from the looks of it, they were hard to pull away from one another.

I take a deep breath, “This is stupid.”

“Yeah it is stupid but we might as well be civil with each other. For some reason, the Warrior isn’t taking no for an answer and I’m learning it’s a little easier to stop resisting the Druids and just give them what they want.”

There is a pause but then I just shrug, “What the Princess wants is an apology.”

I shrug smiling realizing that I could play this game just as well as the Princess. If she wanted to use my body to get what she wanted then I was damn sure going to use her title to get what I wanted.

I look at Cordae’s face and see a vivid look of resistance sketched out on his face. He’s hating every moment of this and because he is hating it I am actually loving it.

“Fine I apologize to the Princess——“ he starts off to me but then turns to his inner thoughts.

“The Princess wants you to apologize to me too.”

“I'm not doing that.”

I start to turn to leave but I see immediately he grabs my hand to stop me. I look in his eyes and I see this longing. Someone definitely didn’t want me leaving the room but by the looks of things, it seemed like that someone was actually the Warrior, not Cordae but honestly I can’t be too sure at this point.

“Fine. Don’t leave. I’m sorry I lied about cheating in the game,” he finally says.

“Why’d you do it?” I ask, “You could have compromised all of us.”

The Princess either has a soft spot for Cordae or perhaps a soft spot for the Warrior who was sharing a body with Cordae. I hadn’t realized I was rubbing it in but the sigh that he does in the next moment lets me know that she might have a point. He might feel really bad about what he did.

“You have no idea the pressure my dad puts me in to be better than your little brother.”

I’m not only surprised by him saying that, but I am also shocked, “I didn’t know that you got any pressure. Your dad always seemed so proud of you.”

“Don’t act like you don’t know why my father is obsessed with your little brother.”

I’m confused.

“I don’t.”

“Holy shit. You don’t know what happened between our fathers. Do you?”

“No. No, I don’t.”

He shakes his head, “When you and I were really young your mother cheated on your father with mine.”

I’m shocked when I think about it. There’s no way...was there? I’m shocked at the accusation.

“There’s no way.”

“What do you think drove your mother to have a psychotic fit? My father was taking her to court.”

“For what?”

“Your little brother Zaire—-is actually my father’s son.”
